Girlfriends

Pin It Now!

Sorry I haven't been here since last week! There's no excuse except I've been out having fun! Fun dating and fun with girlfriends! A friend of mine emailed me this "Girls in My Circle" and I thought I would share it with you...along with photos of some of my girlfriends...

GIRLS IN MY CIRCLE

My good friends, Kim and Natasha

When I was little,

I used to believe in the concept of one best friend,

And then I started to become a woman.

And then I found out that if you allow your heart to open up,

You would see the best in many friends.

One friend is needed when you're going through things with your man.

Another friend is needed when you're going through things with your mom.

Another will sit beside you in the bleachers as you delight in your children and their activities.

Another when you want to shop, share, heal, hurt, joke, or just be.

One friend will say, 'Let's cry together,'

Another , 'Let's fight together,'

Another , 'Let's walk away together.'

The girls at the winery with the Jason the owner

One friend will meet your spiritual need,

Another your shoe fetish,

Another your love for movies,

Another will be with you in your season of confusion,

Another will be your clarifier,

Another the wind beneath your wings.

That's me in the center - 1978!
But whatever their assignment in your life,
On whatever the occasion,

On whatever the day,

Or wherever you need them to meet you with their gym shoes on and hair pulled back,

Or to hold you back from making a complete fool of yourself .

Those are your best friends.

It may all be wrapped up in one woman, But for many, it's wrapped up in several..

One from 7th grade,

One from high school,

Several from the college years,

A couple from old jobs,

On some days your mother,

On some days your neighbor,

On others, your sisters,

And on some days, your daughters.

So whether they've been a friend for 20 minutes or 20+ years,

AND ONLY IF YOU'D LIKE TO,

Pass this on to the women that have been placed in your life

To make a difference. Including the one who sent it to you.

Thanks for being in my circle.

Thanks, really beautiful and so true, I am so blessed with many "best" friends and they are all so treasured. Maybe we should all do a "sharing" post to tell about the amazing ladies in our lives!

Sincerely,
Laura

So true Cindy! Thank you for this lovely posting of girlfriends being "best friends". I have the best girls in my circle and I love them so much! Also, there is always room for more and more! :)

When my husband passed almost 13 years ago it was my girlfriends who got me through this sad time in my life. <3

Have a wonderful day!

That is so true! While I believe in best friends, I feel it's possible to have many best friends. You may have certain needs that one friend can fulfil, but not another, but then that other friend can fulfill your other needs that maybe another of your friends can't help you with. Many friends is a good thing!

Glad you are having fun Cindy.

I had a GREAT night out with my BFF Naomi (aka Mi Vida) on Monday.

I'm also looking forward to my BBFF Mily, my baby sister tomorrow.

Quick shout out to my other FABULOUS girlfriends (including you!).

There is nothing like a good girlfriend. Great post.

Besos!

I have to agree with this. I have a group of girlfriends who are amazing. We would all do anything for each other. Heck, we all even congregate at one's home on Thanksgiving, rather than celebrating in our own homes. I love my life and my girlfriends! (and that includes you, my sweet friend of um, yea, a lot of years!)

Cindy, I do have to admit that I was concern what had happened, it is not like you not to post on a daily basis. Each day I check your blog because it's my favorite, then thought maybe she is ill, but even then she let's us know. So I waited and waited, finally you came through, then read your post. You go girl and have fun time flies so fast and we hardly enjoy life. So go ahead and enjoy life, love your post, it is so inspiringHugs,

Maria & Ruth.

What a lovely post, Cindy. I, too, have felt this way as I've gone through life. I have wonderful women in my life and I love each and every one of them. They all bring something very special to my life. I believe each of them is here to teach me something about myself and vice versa. What a blessing it is to have loving friends around. Thank you for sharing a part of yourself with all of us.

Sweet sweet post today, Cindy. And oh so true. I've lost a few close friends over the years and was devastated. But as the years went on, I realized that they were sent into my life for that time for a purpose - and I've accepted that and moved on to create even better friendships. And recently.....my blog friends are the ultimate BESTEST!!! lol!
