Show and Tell

Pin It Now!

I shared this pincushion on my blog when I received it last year but it's worth showing off again! This was a handmade gift from a very talented blogger, Pat from Bird Nest on the Ground.
I love this silk ribbon embroidery pincushion and I keep it in the blue cabinet in my dining room just because it's too pretty to put away with my sewing things. It looks big in these photos but it just fits into the palm of my hand. The needlework is so small and detailed. It's just amazing!

If you are joining in on Show and Tell Friday, please remember that your Show and Tell needs to be something from your home or garden. Please read the Show and Tell Guidelines for step-by-step instructions on how to participate. If you would like to join in, please enter your name and leave your exact Show and Tell blog post link, not just your blog link and as a common courtesy link back to my blog. If your link has been removed from MckLinky, please re-read over the guidelines before re-posting, or e-mail me with any questions.Thank you! I look forward to seeing everyone's posts...it may take me awhile to get around to visit everyone since I work full time but I'll do my best to get to your blog as soon as I can!

That little pincushion is adorable. I just love it. It is a lot harder to make those little ribbon roses than it looks. Those are just so pretty!

Your pin cushion is oh so sweet. I used to do silk ribbon embroidery and that takes some time to make those little roses....lots of work and talent went into making that little piece. Very precious!

thanks for sharing that lovely pin cushion again! I remembered it the first time too! It has inspired me to think about trying to make one myself with the sewing and embroidery skills I knew as a child. Wouldn't it be a lot more productive, not to mention relaxing, to turn off the tv and just sit and sew? Could you talk your friend into a mini tutorial? That would be awesome!
