Show and Tell Friday

Pin It Now!

It's Show and Tell Friday time! We've had some great weather here for the past week and it's really has me in the mood for Spring! The trees around here are flowering and the daffodils are blooming. There are still quite a few bare trees around but I see leaves starting to sprout from the branches! February is always the worst month for my allergies. Our driveway and all the cars are covered with bright yellow pollen right now! I guess I shouldn't be complaining because a lot of you are still covered in snow! Right?
Since I'm really in the mood for Spring and Summer I thought I would share some past bouquets I picked from my little garden outside my apartment. It's amazing the bouquets you can get from such a small piece bit of land!

I can't wait for my garden to look all green and lush like it does in the photo above. Right now it's very bare out there but the roses are sending out new growth so I know that soon it will be beautiful again!

Soon I'll be cutting lilacs for bouquets. I can see the buds forming on the bush already!
Having fresh garden flowers in my home is one of life's simple pleasures! I can hardly wait for my roses to bloom! We are supposed to get more rain and cooler temperatures so the sunny Spring-like days are coming to an end but it was nice while it lasted. It won't be too long before they are back to stay though! I can hardly wait!
Also, in case you missed it, hop on over to The Old Painted Cottage, my apartment was featured as "Cottage of the Month"

I always love seeing pictures of your flower arrangements! You do such a beautiful job with them. One of my favorites is the one with the pink flowers in the silver cup. Everytime I see that picture I wish it was in my apartment, LOL!! Where do you find silver cups like that?

Thanks for hosting and for sharing!

Thanks so much!!

Hi Cindy

It's been some time and I'm so glad that I picked tonight to stop by. I love hearing about Spring and seeing fresh flowers. You're right, we're still knee deep in snow with a threat of more to come Monday night.

Enjoy your Spring weather!

Hi Cindy,
Oh how I envy your lilacs and roses! They are beautiful. I don't have much luck with either, because of the monster deer around here. They eat everything. The daffodils are looking really good right now, though! Those varmint don't touch 'em, thank goodness. They are the only spot of color in my garden right now.
It is always such a pleasure to see what you've shared with us each day. I'm glad we're practically neighbors!

My lilac is just starting to leaf out; it is tiny and was moved last year, so I don't expect any flowers this year.

But, I have 460 bulbs I planted that I'm hoping to have pictures of to show you in a few weeks!

Right now the paperwhites are blooming outside in pots by my front door and under my sundial.

Soon we'll have 300 daffodils and 100 ranunculus! My roses are beginning to leaf out, too.

I do have stock and pansies blooming by the front door; they are so pretty!

I have had your blog bookmarked for many months now and I enjoy reading your post. I am so very envious that you have lilac bushes. Will you please think of me when you smell the first sweet fragrance of this lovely flower. I live in the south north of Houston and we do not have these bushes here. I grew up in Oklahoma and my parents had a lovely hedge of lilac and my dad cut them down. I wish I had that row of bushes here at my Blue Gate Farm to enjoy. Blessings to you and your special bouquet this spring.
