Tablescape Tuesday

Pin It Now!

I'm joining in on Susan's Tablescape Tuesday today. Please go visit Susan's blog "Between Naps on the Porch" to see more beautiful table settings!
I added some additional bling to my centerpiece. The glittery starfish came from the sisters at "Tales of an O,C. Cottage". I just wish it photographed better....this starfish has some serious sparkle going on. I'm going to glitter some more shells because I love this one so much! I also added some faux snow (of the plastic variety) to the silver tray.

I added a rhinestone belt that belonged to my mom to my centerpiece (see it looped through the top handle?). I remember her wearing this belt for a New Years party they had. I also added a pearl necklace. I know that adding a belt to a centerpiece sounds so strange but I believe in using things you already have in creative ways!

I tied a little ornament to the wine glass...

Finished it off with a gift...

Oh, I forgot to mention, the belt and the pearls are the perfect addition ~ I wouldn't have known it was a belt unless you mentioned it ~ and I really admire your ability to use things for other purposes than what they were intended for.

Beautiful, as is everything you do. I love the belt in the centerpiece. I have a rhinestone belt of my mother's too! Now, I'm looking for a place to use it for Christmas decor. Thanks for the inspiration. Oh, and those pretty, sparkly eggs in the bird's nest are wonderful. laurie

That is really a glorious Table setting! Love it... although I prefere the bit more rustique and humble french country-style settings with non-bleached linnen table-cloth, cream ware and old silver cutlery... but sometimes all that glitters is a must! Holiday-Greetings from Germany, Mira!

Holy cow, this is gorgeous! I'm also in love with the idea of using what you already have. It forces you to be creative and it also adds layers of memories and meaning to everything you create, like with your mother's New Year's belt.

Wow. I'm blown away and inspired to be a little *less* simple next time I have a gathering!

This is stunning. Nothing is more elegant than an all white tablesetting. It's elegant. But it's the details that astound me. Woman, you have such talent! I love the ingenious way you used the belt. Thank you so much for your kind words on my strawberries. I have been digging in the attic for more dishes. LOL I wanted to ask if you centerpiece consists of tiered cake plates?

Cindy, I think this is my favorite thing of yours. Also when you have seashells in it! I just love this piece of yours. I wanted to tell you that whatever you did, your blog loaded MUCH faster and it didn't crash. So you fixed the problem, I guess. That's fast service. And I believe I've fixed my email dilemma.

Your tablescape turned out gorgeous, Cindy. It just proves you don't have to use green and red for Christmas to make something beautiful.
I love the little ornament you tied on the wine glass and it looks like embroidery on the napkins inside the glass? So pretty.
I can just picture my hubby and I sitting down to dinner at your table and within 2 minutes he would slop something....lol.
