Last weekend my mom gave me a huge plastic garbage bag filled with vintage linens and lace. This tablecloth is my favorite thing in there! Oh my gosh...when I pulled this out of the bag I couldn't believe how beautiful it was! It looks like a wedding dress! I think the only hand work on it is the applique edging all the way around the bottom of it but it's still so impressive!
I'm sure wish I could have taken photos of this in natural light because it's so much prettier than these photos show.
Isn't this lace Yummy! Have a great day!

Oh My Dear Miss Cindy,
ReplyDeleteAs sad as it is that you didn't have your memory card in your camera, it's still a funny story. I did something similar back in the late 80's with my Cannon 35 mm camera. I had gone on a road trip by myself in the fall, as was my own "tradition". OK, so a normal roll of film has 24 exposures, but you can sometimes pinch out 27 pictures on a roll. But, I kept shooting pic after pic, and then, when I looked at my camera, it was definitely past 27. I really didn't want to open my camera and expose the roll of film that might be in there, but decided it would be wise to check. Guess what??? No film!!! I spent an entire afternoon out on the road to take pictures of the fall foliage and sights, but felt like such a ninny that I didn't have the basics in my camera. So... don't feel too badly. And it's good that you are going back to take pics again of the B&B where you went. I got a chuckle out of it. Love the pics of the treasures from your Mom.
Hugs,
Penny Sue
