I started digging through all the pieces and I found more and more! I ended up finding 6 spoons, 6 forks, 6 knives and a serving spoon. I took my loot up to the hippie (there's a lot of those in Santa Cruz) selling the stuff and asked him how much. I can't tell you how happy I was when he said $5 for all of it!
I'm going to try to post something tomorrow but in case it gets too hectic I want to wish all my U.S. friends a Happy Thanksgiving! Vince is coming tonight and I can't wait to see him!
What a terrific find, Cindy. Love how you tied it together with the pretty ribbon, too. Your pictures are always fanstastic!
ReplyDeleteHappy Happy Thanksgiving to you & your sweet family!

ReplyDeleteHope your Thanksgiving is filled with wonderful memories. Your "find" is amazing, and I love monogrammed things too!
ReplyDeleteAn amazing find! Love them. Of course, you made them look even more perfect by having them tied together with a beautiful and delicate ribbon and the angle at which you took this photo makes them so desirable I just have to have some beautiful silver and ribbon somewhere in my home. You make things I never thought of something I must have.
ReplyDeleteHappy Thanksgiving to you Miss Cindy. May your day be overflowing with blessings.
I hope you have a very Happy Thanksgiving!! My oven decided to break yesterday! Just in time for the holiday, luckily I have one in the bunkhouse, so lots of exercise going back and forth to the oven, maybe I will actually loose weight on Thanksgiving!!LOL.

What a terrific buy....you need to do what Martha Stewart does and tell people the monogram is from a dead relative who left you the silver in their will...!
ReplyDeleteThat is so amazing. It's a beautiful pattern. How sad that the family it belonged to had no clue what they had. :( but how wonderful that your home will have it.
