Welcome to Show and Tell Friday!
Last weekend I decided to move some furniture around. I originally had my TV on this table on the other side of the room next to the fireplace and I had a vintage dresser here. I like it this way so much better! It inspired me to give it a fresh coat of paint...chalk paint of course! I bought this table at a thrift store years ago and my daughter used it as a vanity table for years. It really needed a fresh coat of paint. It's hard to tell from this photo but I did distress it a little.
It's hard to get a good photo of both rooms because my living room gets so much more light because of the big sliding glass door. The rooms are both painted the same color but you wouldn't know that by looking at this photo!
Now I want to freshen all my painted furniture up! Maybe my bedroom furniture will be next. I spilled some perfume on my dresser and it stripped the paint right off of it. I once swore that I was never going to paint any more furniture but it's so easy with the Annie Sloan Chalk Paint. I don't have to strip and sand before I paint it. I enjoy the painting part but I hate the prep work!

What a beautiful table Cindy !
ReplyDeletePerfect place for a wicker basket to sit underneath ( because I fill every square inch to the brim LOL )
Thanks so much for the party - hope you have a fun filled Mother's day

I thought of putting a wicker basket under there but my puppy would chew it! Maybe another 6 months or so and she will be out of that stage!

Do you iron your Ikea Slipcovers after you wash them???
ReplyDeleteNo I don't iron them but I probably should. Sometimes I spray them with Downey wrinkle release if they need it.
