Pita Bread Pizza - Show and Tell Friday

Pin It Now!

Welcome to Show and Tell Friday!

Today I'm sharing one of my new favorite easy-to-make meals!  It's a Pita Bread Pizza and it's Weight Watcher friendly!

I start with a Pita Bread. Mine is made by Sara Lee and they are 3 Points Plus points on Weight Watchers!  I then spread a wedge of flavored Laughing Cow cheese on the pita which turns into a delicious white sauce.  Then I pile on some fresh spinach and a little skim milk mozzarella and top that off with sauteed onions and chopped turkey bacon.  Add some tomatoes and artichoke hearts (packed in water, not oil) and sprinkle on some low fat blue cheese crumbles! I put it directly on the oven rack at 400 degrees and cook until it's warm and the cheese is melted! My pizza ended up being only 6 Points Plus on Weight Watchers (I get 26 points per day)!  I've made so many different variations of this...sometimes I add roasted red peppers, garlic, veggies, etc. The possibilities are endless!  The pita turns crispy and tastes so good!  I love pizza and I'm so happy I can have this very satisfying meal!

Hi Cindy! It's been a long time! I get 26 points a day too and this looks good! Where do you find the Sara Lee pita bread? Is it frozen or in the deli, or bread section?~Patti

Thanks for the ww recipe, I follow weight watchers and use ww recipes and use my points-same amount as you, Cindy.
I don't usually like the recipes on blogs so I never go to those blogs to see the recipe-UNLESS I
know it is a ww recipe! So thanks for posting that!

Cindy,

You can actually make 2 pizzas with each pita and lowering the points per pizza. Just take a knife and cut around the perimiter of the pita along the edge which will seperate it into 2 discs. The pita will get really crusty since it is so thin.

Cindy that looks good. Can you use flatbread in the place of the pita?
Would the points change? Just wondering. I have flatbread on hand and was going to try your recipe this weekend. Thanks for sharing. Hope you have a wonderful weekend.
