Show and Tell Friday!

I've shared my heart-shaped rock collection here before but I recently found some new ones so thought I would share those today!  I found all these on my Saturday morning hikes.  For those that don't know, I hike about 10 miles every Saturday morning.  The morning I found the two above I also found a huge one...about the size of a dinner plate!  I actually thought about throwing it in my backpack but I didn't...it would have made my hike so much harder! It was really heavy!

These other two I found on previous hikes.  It sure makes a long hike a little more fun when I have something to look for!  I actually feel like a kid when I find one...I get overly excited!

I'm not sure if I'll be hiking this Saturday or not...It's my birthday!  I told my friends last night that last year I reached the top of the hill and Saturday, I'll be going over it! haha...na I don't feel that way at all. I think 51 will be even better than 50 was and 50 was pretty-darn good!!  I'm so glad I don't feel "over-the-hill"  I hope I never do!

I know you don't know me but I know you! Weird how blogging works.:) Just wanted you to know how much you have inspired me. Happy Birthday!!

I hope you have many many more.
I turn 62 next month and I feel like I am 16...on most days. I walk 3mi. every morning which gives me lots of energy. I love your heart rocks, and that sure makes that 10mi easier I bet. I have a rock that my daddy found many many years ago that looks like a potato. Yup a potato, I even fooled my grandchildren with it. LOL.
Hope you have a wonderful weekend.

  39. Hi Cindy, I am in the process of repainting an old drop leaf table. I have painted it an off white ( 2 coats) and now I was was going to lightly sand it and use the paste wax you recommended. On the Howard's website it says:

We do not recommend our products for painted or whitewashed finishes. Always test our products in an inconspicuous spot before using.

Now I'm scared. I used a pearl finish paint. I just want to make sure I won't goof it up. Can you verify that's what you use? If I can't find that paste wax, is there another product I could use?

Thanks so much for all your help!
    Lisa

  40. Lisa, I've used that paste wax on everything I've painted and I've never had a problem with it.
