It's Show and Tell Friday time again! Last week we had a record - 346 bloggers linking in!! Wow! That is just amazing!!! Thank you all!
************
Spring doesn't officially start for about another week and a half but it sure is beginning to look like Spring in my backyard! The lilacs and roses are beginning to bloom! I never even had a chance to prune my roses this year...oh well, they don't seem to mind!
Here is my one and only "Eden" rose that is blooming.
"Eden" is my all-time favorite rose!
I can't tell you how excited I was when I looked out the window the other day and saw pink! I went running out there to get a closer view!
Most of the lilacs are still at this stage....
...but a few are almost fully blooming
I also have 3 buds on my "Nancy Reagan" rose...
It's so wonderful to see the flowers blooming again!!! Flowers make my heart sing!

Also, don't forget, this weekend it's time to change our clocks forward for Daylight Saving Time (for most of us anyway)! I don't like losing an hour but I do love having the extra daylight after work! Now I can start hiking during the week too! For those of you that may have missed it, I now have a hiking blog too! Please stop by and visit Liking Hiking!
If you are joining in on Show and Tell Friday, please remember that your Show and Tell needs to be something from your home or garden. Please read the Show and Tell Guidelines for step-by-step instructions on how to participate. If you would like to join in, please enter your name and leave your exact Show and Tell blog post link, not just your blog link and as a common courtesy link back to my blog. If your link has been removed, please re-read over the guidelines before re-posting, or e-mail me with any questions.
Thank to all of you that join in every week!

It is still too cold here for flowers to be in bloom so I am VERY jealous. I will be curious to see what our yard looks like in the spring and summer months as we just moved in. I was very excited to see some daffodil and hyacinth bulbs popping up though! I may have a few pleasant surprises.
ReplyDeleteThank you for hosting!

ReplyDeleteI love lilacs and yours are lovely. Mine are just beginning to show the tiniest buds. I just realized that my link isn't from my home or garden but full of flowers from the Philadelphia Flower Show. I wish my garden had flowers like these. I will be careful with my future link-ups :)

I found you through My Shabby Streamside Studio. I'm new at this, and didn't realize there are so many blogs out there of women (like myself) with love for things vintage and beautiful. Sometimes, for some of us, it takes awhile to recognize our true style; then, you just can't get enough of it. It feeds the soul. I have spent a lot of time going back through your archives and I come to My Romantic Home to get calm and refreshed. Thank you for your lovely photos, and for sharing the beauty you've created all around you. It's inspirational for me. Most of my lovelies are packed away and I live in a partially-renovated home which seems destined never to be finished. I am determined, in this year of 2011, to follow your lead and improve my space. I desperately need my pretty things to look at and revive memories. You could be "crying in your beer" for having to leave Willow Glen and live in an apartment, but you turned lemons into lemonade. Again, thank you for sharing your stories and glimpses into how to make a beautiful home, wherever we land. Oh, and I especially enjoy the Carmel photos. I am a Cali girl, too, but...where I live, although the surrounding locale is awesome, my town lacks amenities and I'm starved for the little nooks of charming shops, cozy cafes and a well-tended landscape. Carmel, Cambria, even Santa Barbara...such Cali treasures that I need to rediscover, so I'm grateful for the nudge. Your blog is encouraging, to just go out there and make it happen, no matter if it's decorating, shopping, eating, cooking or traveling! Did you have any idea you'd wind up being such an amazing motivator? Well, you are!
ReplyDeleteSo beautiful, Cindy! It's definitely spring time here in PHX too. We don't change our clock out here which is still weird to me. OH and we are hiking at Shaw Butte this weekend. I can't wait to see your pics and share our with you. Thanks for hosting.
ReplyDeleteI'm so jealous of your roses and lilacs. It's been so long since I've been around lilacs. My Grandmother used to have a huge lilac bush...oh how I miss the smell.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous, Cindy. My roses are pruned from winter and just now putting out new leaves. Hopefully I'll have blooms soon. ~ Sarah

ReplyDeleteinlinkz was giving me some trouble this morning. The first time I tried to link it didn't bring me to the picture page, so there's no thumbnail. The second time worked. If you could delete that first pic-less link, it'd be great. Thanks so much for hosting this party each week. I love seeing what's going on in everyone else's homes.
