My lilacs are blooming and I've picked two huge bouquets....one for home and one for work! Ahhh...I wish you could smell them!
I had such a wonderful weekend! I went to Sausalito and Tiburon (cute little towns on the San Francisco Bay) for lunch and shopping with friends. Of course I brought my camera so I'll have photos later in the week!

They look wonderful! I wish I had lilacs.
So jealous Cindy! Wish I could smell them from here in Ohio! We've been having some nice weather but not quite time for lilacs around here. Thanks for all the inspiration! :)
The violets are just beautiful! Thanks for sharing.
I am over the top jealous of anyone having such beautiful lilacs and being able to grow them. The sweet scent of heaven and all the beauty that goes with it. Perfect, just perfect, you lucky girl, Char
I haven't seen lilacs in years. We had huge bushes in my childhood home. The aroma is beautiful. I'm so glad you have them to enjoy! Haven't been by for awhile. Your banner is very pretty.
I am so envious! I had one for several years, but it would never bloom.
I LOVE lilacs!! How lucky you are to live in such a wonderful part of the world!!! It is rainy and snowy here today! Yes, I live in the South, and yes it is March 22! I am thinking someone FORGOT to tell Mother Nature!!
Supposed to be in teh 70's tomorrow! Go figure!!
Lou Cinda :)
Oh, the lilacs are so beautiful! You have inspired me to plant 2 lilac bushes this Spring. One is at the business, where my customers walk in, and the other is in our front yard at home. They are both already sprouting leaves. So blooms are surely on their way later on this year. I can't wait!
"Syriner" as we say in Norway smells so lovely. Wonderful pictuers.
Best regards Anita S
Nothing smells better than the scent of lilacs filling a room. I am so jealous!
Cindy those are so beautiful and I
could almost smell them through the
screen. I wish those would live in
my area. I love your cane basket
with the lilacs in it. Too neat.:O)

Cindy Amor, the lilacs look beautiful! I love the smell of lilacs...Do you think they grow in So Cal too? I was given a white lilac but have to plant it still, wonder if it will bloom, any suggestions for care :) Besos, Rose
Those look so beautiful! I swear I can smell them through the computer. :)
My lilacs don't even have their leaves yet. But I do have plenty of other flowers so I'm not TOO deprived.
Your lilac is beautiful and I'm sure we all wish we could smell it!!! I can't wait to see your weekend photo's:)
I love lilacs and they do smell so wonderful! Enjoy your beautiful blossoms!

Beautiful - thanks for sharing them with us.
I'm so envious! That's one of the additions I still want to make to my flower garden.
The stems look lovely in your basket.

Your lilacs are beautiful and when ours bloom weeks down the road, I'll be cutting lots for indoors too.
they are beautiful! now i am jealous!
Your lilacs are gorgeous! Mine are just starting to bloom...can't wait. They are my favorite flower!
Have a lovely week!
I love lilacs; I could almost smell them online. LOL.
My husband and I got engaged 25 years ago in a restaurant on the water in Tiburon. I can't remember the name of the restaurant but he proposed and I said ...YES!
So I have fond memories of Tiburon. I'm sure you had a ball.
Blessings,
Debbie
Oooh, I can almost smell these through my computer monitor! LOL!
I loooove lilacs. They don't bloom here until May, however. When we bought our house there was one small, runty dwarf lilac in the back yard. We moved it to another location, hoping it would do better, but alas, it died last winter. I can't wait until we're able to plant some new ones.
oh my gosh! Those lilacs are beautiful!!! I'm soooo jealous!
Way to use that fun new tool/toy of yours Cindy.
Beautiful lilacs! Sounds like a fabulous weekend! Happy Monday! ♥
It's hard to believe! Here we are dipping back down into the 30's again and the trees are just starting to bud. We basically still have that dead winter brown look with no snow left. I'm looking forward to some green like you have, it just may be a while!
Just beautiful...to be able to go into your yard and pick something like that ...what a treat! Thank you for sharing them...
Now send me some! tee hee!
Hugs and love,
Mona
Thank you for sharing your lovely lilacs. Ours are still sleeping. You've made the wait a bit more bearable.
I'm jealous too! I planted four lilac shrubs about three years ago and none of them are doing well. In fact I think all but one is dead. I love lilac bouquets!
Oh, I LOVE the smell of Lilacs and how they fill the whole room with their fresh sweet scent....mmmm!
Cindy, those are gorgeous! Wish we had the beautiful California climate you have! Enjoy!!! (Can't wait to see those photos later in the week that you mentioned you took at lunch!) Have a blessed evening! Patti

Hi! Cindy I live in Wa. My lilacs are ready to bloom. I have light purple, deep purple, white, and blue-purple. You can get starts from the shoots that come out of the ground by the main plant trunk. I prune mine so they become trees instead of bushes. I just take the bottom branches and prune off and form just the trunk and above the branches bloom out. I just love them and so do my humming birds. Have fun in your beautiful garden.
They are so beautiful!
Mine are about ready to burst open in bloom, can't wait to smell their scent wafting through the house :)
*hugs*Deb
Lilacs smell just divine. I want to plant one so badly. I'm not sure if it is going to be in our budget this spring (we just purchased a bunch of summer bulbs to plant), but I dream of lilac blossoms in my home and the smell wafting through our backyard.
