I love making fruit tarts. They look so pretty and always seem to impress everyone and they are so easy to make! For this one I used a Paula Deen recipe. It was really fast & easy because she uses cream cheese (of course she does) rather than making a pastry cream. The recipe can be found here. (I didn't use the glaze in the recipe because they didn't have frozen limeade at the store because the freezer was broken so I used currant jelly that I heated up until it melted and then brushed it on).
It was so good!!!
I still remember my first tart I ever made. It was a Martha Stewart recipe and I was in my 20s! I'm telling you...I was so darn proud of that raspberry tart! So proud in fact that I had my picture taken with it...

I also want to mention that I will be at Vintage & Vogue in downtown Campbell this Saturday, June 6th 1:00-4:00 pm for their 1st year anniversary party! They asked me to be the guest of honor! I'm so honored to be asked!!! If you're in the San Francisco Bay Area I hope you can make it! It should be lots of fun!

Hi Cindy. Thanks so much for featuring this fruit tart. I know they're delicious, but I didn't realize they were so easy to make! What a cute picture of you and your first fruit tart! It's beautiful and you have every reason to be proud. Have a great time on Saturday; how lovely to be the guest of honor! ~Arleen
Your tart is beautiful!! And you look soooo young in the picture. Isn't sort of weird to look at pictures of yourself when you were younger...I know I've changed a lot! We know now that your red hair is natural!! Cute!
Congrats on being the guest of honor, wish I could be there! Have fun!
Sandy
Your fruit tart looks delicious!! (Everything you make always looks attractive and yummy!!) And your raspberry tart from your 20's looked perfect!! You were so cute!

I love your blog, you are always so sweet and your decorating skills, cooking skills, and your photos are wonderful!! Take care.
Your tart turned out beautiful! And I love the old photo...so cute! Soon I'll be doing a post with a cheesecake recipe and showing of old photo of me holding a check and a blue ribbon I won for the recipe at our local county fair. Ahhhh to be that young again! I don't know where the years go...
I sure wish I lived closer so I could attend the Vintage & Vogue event.
That's an amazing tart. Looks fab and delish. I love the photo of you back in the day with your first tart. Priceless! I use to live in San Francisco...I miss the weather...Have fun and Congrats!!!

Not so easy for the likes of Esther Sunday, trust me! I am a once a year baker - pumpkin pie (out of a can of course) on Thanksgiving. And that's only if I have the dinner at my house. So, make that every once in a year or so. Congrats on the guest of honor - you deserve it! Have fun!
It looks so yummy! Tart is a much better name for it than what I've always called them, Fruit Pizza. They're way to fancy to be a pizza. YUMMY. I was actually thinking about making one last Monday. Maybe this is a "sign".
~Karen
That looks so good!! Wow how nice of them to ask you to be guest of honor, you lucky girl!! Have fun and I wish I could be there(;
Hugs~Kelly
The tart looks good but YOU look Great!! It was so fun to see you at your young age!
Guest of Honor... of course!!
Your tart looks delicious! That is one thing I have never made...I will put it on the "list". Congrats on being guest of honor!
~Patti
Well, good you looked so proud! Because I'm 52, and somehow, some way, I've NEVER made a fruit tart! What does that say about this woman, I wonder? I do, however, always eat fruit on my morning cereal. Is that a non sequitur???
Brenda
WOW, that looks soooooo good! CHEERS! Michele
Your fruit tarts are so beautiful ~ and I loved the picture of you in your twenties, so sweet! No wonder you're so good at everything ~ you started so young:)
Congratulations on being Guest of Honor! I'm so happy for you!

Yum, that might be a dessert that I should copy. They are very impressive looking, aren't they. I have never made one, but I think I will. Hugs, ~cindy s~

Hi Cindy,
This looks so yummy. I never knew it was so easy to make a tart either. I am going to go buy me a tart pan and make one. Congrats on the guest of honor! I am sure you will have a lot of fun. You so deserve to be. I read your comments. When I saw your younger picture I thought Lauren looks just like you when you were younger too. I love your beautiful blog.
Blessing To You,

Hi Cindy,
You know I have never tried a fruit tart and by looking at yours, I need to get with it. They do look delicious!
Both of your kids do have a strong resemblance of you. You look so cute!

Cindy...you are sooo cute in that pic...and what a yummy looking fruit tart...no wonder you were so proud! Thanks for the link to the recipe for the one you recently made...I always love everything Paula does. I used to buy the fruit tarts at Publix, but their price doubled on it overnight...ouch! Susan
That looks sensational! It looks like a ton of work....surely more than I generally put into a dessert, that's for sure!
