This and that

My little cherub collection is growing! Last month I went back to Move it Elsewhere and bought the cherub plaque in the back...thanks to Esther, one of my readers who saw me there and reminded me that I had written on my blog that I wanted to get it! I'm so glad I did! Thank you Esther!
Most of the pieces only cost a few dollars at thrift stores and on eBay but when you put them together as a collection they look a lot more expensive!
The one above was from eBay. It's one of my favorites!
I have these in my big blue cabinet under the stairs and as I was taking these photos Beau was sitting on the stairs supervising me. I usually take him out for his morning walk about this time and he looks mad at me for taking pictures instead of walking him!!!
I also have to share my beautiful delphinium that is blooming on my patio. I planted this in a big pot along with some other plants a couple years ago and every year I get more and more blooms! This is one of my favorite flowers...well, after hydrangeas, roses, lilacs and foxgloves.

As you can see from the counter on my right side-bar that I'm getting really close to my millionth visitor! YAY!!! To celebrate I'm going to be having a monthly giveaway on my blog....once a month, every month for a year! I'm also going to put up a Mr. Linky so if you would like to join in on any given month and have a giveaway on your blog you can log in with Mr. Linky...I'll have more details soon!

  1. Funny how dogs can communicate without saying a word.

As a fellow cherub lover, I can appreciate your collection. Those little buggers are all over my house.

OH, how exciting about the millionth visitor, it's like the old day's when you were the millionth customer in a store and they had all the fan fair about it.

    Ciao

  16. You are a spot of joy with every post I read! My delphiniums are just about 8 inches high now. Several will bloom this year for the first time--I hope I have one with that beautiful color you have. Our high school FFA (Future Farmers of America) have a plant sale this weekend and that's where we get ours.

  25. Hi Cindy
    Your Cherubs are adorable!!
I thought I read somewhere delphiniums are good for the soil - as in good for companion planting.
I also love them - they give that wonderful cottage garden feel - I used to have a Cottage garden before the draught struck over here in Australia, it's survival of the fittest in our garden at the moment, it was lovely to see your photos

    Goodness a Million visitors!! whew!
