Shabby Chic

Pin It Now!

Have you seen the Rachel Ashwell, Shabby Chic DVDs?  I bought all three of them when they first came out in the spring.  I didn't realize when I bought them that they were from her old show she had many years ago.  I used to get up every morning at 5:00 AM just to watch it!  There are 3 episodes on each of these DVDs.  You can click on each of these titles to read more about them.   Shabby Chic Treasures, Flowers, Petals & Gardens, Gifts, Sentiments & Romance

Cindy,
I love your blog and Santa Cruz was our home for years!! Love to see the photos and your place is cool. Such great ideas. I miss being able to grow fuschias and delphiniums, our climate is too hot for those. Your wreath idea is adorable.

I LOVED that show and have been bemoaning the fact that they never show reruns of it. Where did you find these much coveted after dvds?

I too have them. I was a little disappointed when I saw they were episodes rather than something new. But all in all, I still like watching them. Some I remembered and some not. I still go back to watching them. when I need inspiration.

Ciao

I used to watch Rachel several years ago and then my cable company got rid of the style channel so I wasn't able to watch her any more....thanks for the head's up!

Many Blessings,

Hi Cindy, I didn't want to be the 51st person on your previous post to tell you how much I like your wreath, so I'll be the 14th hear to tell you, well, I like your wreath. My best friend's mother-in-law has made living wreaths with herbs, and I have always thought they are so neat. Thanks for the link to the one you bought!

I've never seen the DVD but I do remember when her show was on tv and I loved it. I had forgotten all about it until this post.

I would love to see the shows again. I guess now I have to hunt them down on dvd!

Hugs,
Joanne

I already posted you on my favorites list. Looking at your lovely patio; not to mention the view of the ocean from Margerittaville. I was just dying, in a wonderful kind of way. I had to come back and read your whole blog. My hydrangaes are turning green now. One nice thing about living in the south. Actually there is a lot to be grateful for. Santa Cruz is such a beautiful place there is no where else like it. I love your place and it looks wonderful! My friend Debbie at Wisteria & Roses is a kindred spirit for you. Check out her beautiful gardens, you'll be inspired. The last house I lived in there was in Felton and we fixed it up for our landlord too. They never raised our rent. My house was up by Mt Hermon on Highland Dr. It looks like a Swiss Chalet and is 4 stories tall. The garden isn't what it was. Some days I think I'd gladly rent a little granny apt in that town than own my pretty house. Considering we leave everything behind there isn't any real ownership anyway. Your home is unique and living there in that town is an incredible blessing. Keep postin the pictures!!

Well, where have I been? I have all her books but have never heard of a show. What channel was it on? Did someone mention the Style network? Thanks for the heads-up, I'll be hunting them down.

I love that wreath you made in the last post!

Happy day,

Morning Cindy! I've looked at some of Rachel's books, but I don't believe I ever saw any of her shows. Oh, if you get the chance come by to see me, I've made a couple of magazine covers.
Hope you've had a wonderful week!
Be a sweetie,
Shelia ;)

I loved that show, I was so disappoited when they took it off the air. My home was all shappy chic then, I have changed it to more old world cottage since then, but it feels more like home for my husband. I didn't know she had DVD'S out. I still love looking at all the beautiful things. I have all of her books, even the one where she talks about giving shappy chic gifts.
Take care,
ginger
