Aloha! I'm blogging from Hawaii! It's Wednesday at 5:00 pm Hawaiin time which is now 3 hours earlier than California time because they don't move the clocks forward for daylight savings time! It's 81 degrees! I was sitting outside but had to come in because it's too warm! I'm a California girl and grew up in that dry climate so any time I'm in humidity of any kind its hard on me! Really though...the weather is amazing here and I have no complaints! We've been enjoying our time here. We arrived yesterday (Tuesday) morning around 9:30 am.
My boyfriend, Allen, is 13 years older than me but in amazing shape, works out almost every day and he eats so healthy! He inspires me! Just look at this healthy breakfast he brought me. Papaya and cottage cheese. After this we had scrambled eggs with salsa, cottage cheese, fresh tomatoes! High protein and healthy!
Allen has a second home in Hawaii on the Big Island, right on the golf course. Above is the sunset from the lanai off his upstairs master bedroom! It was gorgeous!
There are tropical flowers blooming everywhere! Lots of hybiscus blooming right now!
Our first full day here (Wednesday) we went to the beach! I had so much fun body surfing in the ocean! The ocean is freezing cold in Northern California but here in Hawaii it's so warm!
I'm really enjoying myself here and 1 day at the beach and I'm already getting tan! Well, maybe a little sunburned too but I'm hoping it turns into a tan!
I hope to share more photos next week. I've only been here about a day and half and haven't had much of chance to take photos yet. I hope to go visit Tracy, one of my blog readers, who owns Hawaiin Vanilla Company later this week. I'm so happy she reached out to me and invited me up there!

ReplyDeleteWe are vacationing in Florida and it's been too cold to wear flip-flops let alone go swimming, even in a heated (outdoor) pool. If my husband was able to fly, I would go to Hawaii next year!
ReplyDeleteLooks like a beautiful place and I'm glad you are having a good time.
Oh how lucky to be in Hawaii, I have been there a couple of times many years ago on the way to the UK and absolutely loved it. I remember hand feeding fish at one of the beaches.
ReplyDeleteI love the idea of papaya and cottage cheese, I have not tried that so I will have to try it as we can actually grow papaya's in New Zealand but they are quite small.
Thank you for letting us link up each week, you should be holidaying not blogging, but I understand how it becomes such an essential and enjoyable part of our lives.
Lee :)
