Valentine's Day Cupcakes - Show and Tell Friday

Welcome to Show and Tell Friday!

I decided to make some Valentine's Day cupcakes to take to work!

Because it was a weeknight, I just used a box cake mix. My favorite box cake mix brand is Duncan Hines. I don't like ready-made frosting though so I mix up my own butter cream frosting. It's so much better!  I've shared this recipe before but I'll repost it so you don't have to hunt for it on my blog.

Real Butter Cream Frosting
1/2 cup softened butter
1 lb powdered sugar
1 t. pure vanilla extract
3 T. milk
Beat together with mixer, add extra milk if needed to thin out a little.  I like to use a pastry bag to pipe the frosting on but you can also just spread it on.

I hope you all had a wonderful Valentine's Day!
