Welcome to Show and Tell Friday! I don't really have anything exciting to share this week so I'm sharing one of my photo mosaics I did awhile ago.
I've been getting out and enjoying life and not spending much time at home on the weekends. I mentioned awhile ago that I bought a mountain bike and I have really been enjoying riding that. I remember about 3 years ago, when I was 50 lbs heavier than I am now, Lauren and I bought bikes. We jumped on them and I could barely ride around the neighborhood! I was huffing and puffing and it wasn't much fun! Back then if you would have told me I would be riding a mountain bike up steep dirt trails I wouldn't have believed it! But I am...and I LOVE it! I have Dan to thank for that! We went riding last weekend on a very nice trail called Wilder Ranch that has beautiful views of the ocean. It's so beautiful and lush right now with lots of ferns and moss. We were taking a little break and Dan was playing with his smartphone and took this little video and I thought I would share it with you. He totally caught me off guard...
If you are joining in on Show and Tell Friday, please remember that your Show and Tell needs to be something from your home or garden. Love your mosaic for beautiful images...and the "enchanted forest" looks wonderful....I love to go biking with my hubby on "flat trails" with gorgeous scenery...or trails that are mainly downhill...like the Creeper Trail in Virginia...Glad you are enjoying "the ride"....

ReplyDeleteHaha! The Dan we've gotten a few little hints about...has a VOICE! A nice one. Wow, Cindy, you're an inspiration. Imagine that losing 50 lbs can have such a positive influence on health, outlook, appearance, etc. It gives me hope. I just realized really loudly(!) today (that voice in my head!) that I'm using a lot of excuses about why I don't do this and that; kind of a victim mentality (my days are dominated by care for my elderly parent as their caregiver; leaves hardly a life for myself). It's so much better to climb out of that trap and be empowered, productive; no slackers allowed! Just press on and never give up on yourself, because nothing stays the same forever, and so much about change is good. (Look how fast you found a new job; gave you a healing shot in the arm, right?!) I remember reading once about a guy who ran marathons after being a couch potato for years; in the beginning, he couldn't even make it on a run down the driveway without throwing up, as even THAT was too strenuous for someone so out of condition (sounds like me!). Bike on! (I actually rode a mountain bike once in "the old days;" the all-day Haleakala Downhill on Maui...but it was just that, all downhill! Doesn't count!)
ReplyDeleteI so need to get back on my bike! Your post might just have inspired me to do so Cindy!

Thanks for another link party! Today, I'm sharing a simple recipe for Ant Deterrent. It works great and is simple to make. I have an ant problem in my garden and wanted to get rid of the pests without icky chemical sprays. Hope it helps other gardeners. Have a great week!

Gorgeous mosaic, Cindy! Wow. That video brought back some great memories for me. Such a beautiful trail. I used to ride with the hubbs all the time, but now anything that strenuous just makes the old Lupus flare. I do miss it.

ReplyDeleteI'm loving your mosaic.... so many pretties! I spy a Limoges tea cup on the bottom left that has family members residing in my home... on of my earliest Limoges purchases. Thank you for sharing such loveliness with us :)
ReplyDeleteThank you for posting this. It’s exactly what I was looking for!
ReplyDeleteOkay, wait.. Am I the only one who is feeling cheated by the same old post and excuses here? I want the blog that I used to visit that had unique home ideas and fresh post.. not old pictures and facebook updates. Cindy, if you don't have the time and interest, then please pass it on to someone who does. Hosting this blog party for your rent payment and making money off of our clicks for adding nothing is a sin.
ReplyDeleteBrilliant home arrangements and party arrangement. This blog is one of the best post.
