Welcome to Show and Tell Friday! Last week we had a record number of bloggers join in!!! I could hardly believe it when I saw 527 links!! Thanks to all of you that join in and thanks also to all of those that just visit!
This week I'm sharing my new hummingbird feeder. I've had so many hummingbirds in my yard lately! One even came right up to me and hovered almost nose to nose beak with me! It was really amazing! Lauren and I went to a local hardware store to find a hummingbird feeder and I was amazed at the selection! I thought I would have to buy one of those ugly red plastic ones! I saw this one that looks like a green bottle and thought it was so pretty! As I was hanging it I saw a hummingbird sitting on the telephone wire right behind my patio. I can't wait until they find it. We will be able to watch them from our living room!
Update: I found this same hummingbird feeder on Amazon! click here to see it.

Cindy - I have two of those same feeders!!!!! They WILL find it and use it. Ours are always busy with hummies during the summer. I love that they look vintage and aren't red & yellow plastic. :)

Hi Cindy I love the green glass. Not sure what a hummingbird looks like as we don't have them in Australia, but any bird happily feeding in my garden is such a pleasure.

ReplyDeleteThe hummingbirds must be migrating here because I've never seen so many of them! There was one sitting on the telephone wires when I was hanging the feeder!

ReplyDeleteThanks for hosting!
So cool about feeding the humming birds...they must LOVE you! Fun to be here. thanks!
ReplyDeleteI've never seen a hummingbird feeder that looks like vintage glass; you hit the jackpot on that one! It's fun to have, but you've got to keep it up; they so then depend on you for a food source. And you've got to watch out for ants; sugar fiends. My mom has a large back/hillside yard and she couldn't keep the orioles (spelling?) out of her hummingbird feeder...which was okay on the one hand because they're hungry, too, but it scared off the little guys. Your yard looks more confined; you'll probably have a more controlled environment. Isn't it fun how one small purchase, especially one that pleases you and something/somebody else (the hummers...and bloggers!), can just make the day?! Thanks for sharing lots of great posts recently; very enjoyable. And I've discovered so many wonderful blogs from the people who join you here; I could blog all day if I had time because there are a lot of creative women out here in cyberspace!
ReplyDeleteThanks for hosting Show and Tell Friday. So many great posts to look at/read.

Hi Cindy,
ReplyDeleteI've never had a hummingbird feeder as we've lived in a townhome for many years - up until we moved into our home this past summer. So now I might just get one - love it! :)
Thanks for hosting such an amazing link party every week! So much talent to browse through! :)

ReplyDeleteI have that same feeder. hopefully I get some hummingbirds soon. They like my flowers in the summer and they overwinter here, but so far they don't like my feeder :(

ReplyDeleteHappy Friday Cindy! I have that very same feeder, I got mine on Amazon. We have it hanging on our deck and a hummingbird has taken it over...he won't allow any other hummingbirds near it aside from his girlfriend. He's extremely territorial and it's amazing watching the fights they have out there!!! I never realized how territorial they are!
