It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas (finally!) in my apartment! I moved my birdhouse table under the stairs to make room for my Christmas tree. I had a lot of fun decorating this table top in all white!
I even decked out my dining room chandelier (above) with some faux pine branches. It looks so pretty with the crystals hanging below the greens.
I filled this large apothecary jar with plastic snow and put a small cottage ornament on top and decorated it with trees and more snow. I never thought I would love plastic snow as much as I have the last couple years! There are so many things you can do with it!
More plastic snow in my paperwhites! I can't wait for these to bloom!
I hope you enjoyed my table top winter wonderland!

Pretty! I hadn't thought about all white but it really looks so soft and snowy. I have a silver tray and some of the little houses...think it gave me an idea! Thanks for sharing...
ReplyDeleteYour decorating is very wondrous, indeed! It's so pleasant for the eye, and serene. I love the crystals, which look like raindrops falling from evergreen. And the snow village in an apothecary jar; like looking from a window into a special little world.
ReplyDeleteI have drifted further and further away from the vibrant reds and greens of Christmas. Some people don't agree and like the traditional colors. But it's like me with blinking holiday lights; I need glow, not neon. I can't reflect, relax...with so much busyness. My husband is 75% colorblind and seeks neutrals. Green looks likes brown to him. He can only eat off of a white plate. But I've learned to like the serenity of white and neutrals. The most beautiful bathroom I was ever in was solid white except for a small painting in beiges. Floaty white shower curtain, white beadboard cabinets/cupboards, white fixtures, white sheepskin rug, gossamer white curtains on the windows...not fluffy, just breezy. So elegant; tasteful.
Thanks for the sparkly, snowy world of white winter, Cindy! You've got the touch.
And, see? Even though you were feeling down, didn't it perk you up to do something so satisfying and lovely? It sure perked up me, getting to feast my eyes on your labor of love!
ReplyDeleteI fight this a lot at the holidays. There's so much expended effort. Sometimes I just dread getting everything out to decorate because I have accumulated 'way too much STUFF. We probably all need to pare it down. It's a lot of the mood thing...just walking over the mood and getting started. Like taking the time to make Christmas cookies; they look so cute after they're frosted. Just gotta dig in and do..."happy" catches up along the way!
Hi Cindy
ReplyDeleteThe white looks so pretty! You have such a talent for beauty.
Wow! I really like it. It's just magical. I love the wintry scene in the apothecary jar. I might have to steal that idea. It's great to see you in full gear.

I think alot of people are using just white in their Christmas decorations this year. I do love the look and the simplicity of it.
ReplyDeleteI would like to try white and silver myself but I would need to slowly transition away from my current color scheme of green and burgundy.
Everybody dreaming for a white Christmas, but now it is not a dream it really white Christmas because of that beautiful decorations. White and silver is a good combination.

Beautiful!! Where did you get the apothecary jar?
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful white and green Christmas tabletop, Cindy--I also love the greenery in your chandy! This year I put little vintage bottles and tied them with green ribbon to my chandy, and then filled each bottle with a little bit of bay leaf branch--it's a pretty look, I think. See you tomorrow for the party!
ReplyDeleteAmazingly beautiful!! Thanks for sharing! Very inspirational!
