Outdoor Mood Lighting

I think lighting is so important both indoors and outdoors! Even if I'm in my apartment in the evenings I like to look out the window and see the my patio softly lit.
I saw this hanging crackle glass candle holder at Marshalls months ago and every time I would go in there I would pick it up and look at it and then put it back. Yesterday while stopping in there on my lunch hour I put it in my shopping cart! I'm so happy I did! I love the way it looks in my backyard.
It holds a small tea light inside which gives off such a beautiful glow through the crackle glass.
I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

  9. Cindy what a gorgeous find! I love all the pretty etching on the metal band- so much detailing!
I so wish we had a Marshall's around - actually a little town of 4000 people doesn't have alot of shopping period. It does make it easier on the check book that way though!

  21. I think the crackle glass looks so pretty hanging in your patio. I wonder if I put something like that up if I would have every mosquito in Utah around it? Sure puts off a nice glow though.

  22. I regret passing up the same lite at Ross's. I had two in my cart and ended up putting them back...should have at least got one. I have a larger back yard so I figured it would get lost so I bought some dishes instead. Maybe next time.

Cindy, Your patio looks so inviting as does your whole home!! I also use lighting in my outdoor areas, I agree it just makes the space feel warmer. I have a chandelier I bought at a garage sale which I took apart and now it holds candles for my backyard garden. When we have Girls Night at my house The Girls LOVE it. I have also added several lamps to different areas of my porches and sitting areas,as well as Christmas light to some of my trees. By doing this it gives me a chance to change the mood of the area . Thank for all your inspiration. Sandy

  60. So very bohemian! Hopefully I spelled that correctly. Otherwise, just use "Hooked-On-Phonics". :) It's a beautiful lighting feature. You find the greatest stuff. I only wish I had the money to go and find this stuff. I don't go anywhere, just because I need to justify the gas to go someplace. Yesterday, I had to go to a doctor's appointment, and I truly had a hard time not turning down the road to go to the Thrift Store. But I didn't have the extra time...I had to be home to get ready for work and spend some time with my poochies before I left them again for 5 hours.

    Hugs,
    Penny Sue

  62. Having a patio like this creates a relaxing and romantic ambiance in your place. It’s a pleasant experience to have your cup of coffee in this patio in the morning while listening to the chirping birds. Aside from that, it might be a good idea to meditate in this place before going to bed.
