I did make some lemon bars with real lemons and they were good! I used Ina Garten's (The Barefoot Contessa) recipe.
Lemons, butter, sugar, fresh eggs and flour...
turns into a yummy treat...and made my coworkers very happy! The recipe is on the Food Network website...just click here! Hers look a lot better than mine do though!

Aren't her lemon bars fabulous? SO GOOD! I just had her chocolate dipped pecan bars that a friend made for our chocolate tasting. OH MY! Give those a try sometime. Fantastic. BTW, your blue cups in your sugar & flour jars looks great. I use one in my jar of laundry detergent too. ;-) Great minds. . .

ReplyDeleteLooking at your lemon bars is making my mouth water!! I have been making lemon bars for years, but I call them Lemon Pie Bars because each bite reminds me of a piece of lemon pie!! The recipe I use calls for 4 eggs, but thanks for sharing Ina's recipe, I will have to try it!! (It's always fun to watch her cook on her tv show, she has such a friendly and charming personality (along with her husband!!) and the food always looks good, plus I love seeing her kitchen,table setting, etc.

We share a love of blue and white dishes and now lemons. That is my kitchen theme and I love to make lemon bars. Haven't tried that recipe though. They look yummy.
