I went to Marshalls on my lunch hour last Friday and I found this plant stand for $19.99! (excuse the messy topiary on the right (above), it really needs to be trimmed)
I originally was going to use it inside but for now I put it outside and just transplanted some impatiens that I already had.
I love the Fleur-di-lis detail! I couldn't believe this was only $20.00!
Remember my living wreath? It's really starting to fill in nicely but there is something strange growing on the top left-hand side. I didn't plant this! I was going to pull it out but I decided to wait and see what it becomes. Maybe it's a morning glory??? It has heart-shaped leaves. Anyone know what this could be? Perhaps it's just a weed? I'll keep you updated if it blooms. I think a morning glory might look pretty trailing down the side of it as long as it didn't get too big!
What a great find. I have no idea what is growing out the wreath, but I must say, it's really filling in. Hmm. I wonder what the "unknown plant" is?
ReplyDeleteNiiiiiiiiice!!!
ReplyDeleteM ^..^
I love the plant stand. Great find!
ReplyDeleteLove the plantstand! One can never have too many and they're great for showcasing items besides plants. Being useful and decorative inside as well as outside is another reason I can never pass up a beautiful and inexpensive metal plantstand.
ReplyDeleteHave a great day!!
Cindy
ReplyDeleteOh how I wish I had a Marshall's close to me! Love the planter, it's beautiful. I can't wait to see what goes on with your wreath.

Oddly my Marshalls is mostly clothes now. They have a teeny home decor section. But right next door is TJ Max/Homegoods and half the store is all home related stuff. The wreath is beautiful!
ReplyDeleteManuela
I love Marshall's! Need to go in there soon. Good find.
ReplyDeleteThe plant stand with the flowers looks adorable. Are the flowers in separate containers inside the stand, or did you put moss and potting soil in the stand itself?
ReplyDeleteYou need a new job..."decorator" or "staging" you sure have a knack for it.

I love the plant stand. In the winter, you could bring it in and put rolled up towels in it for the bathroom. Just an idea.
ReplyDeleteHugs,
LeAnn:)
Your garden stand is adorable! I love how your wreath is turning out also. My garden always seems to be filled with mysterious plants!
ReplyDeleteThe plant stand is great!

Love the plant stand and the wreath. The mystery plant could be morning glories, or it could be a morning glory relative called bindweed. Bindweed is just like morning glory vine but smaller and when it blooms it has small pale pink or white flowers that look like, well, like morning glories!
ReplyDeleteCindy, I really like your new plant stand.....I love the topiary....please tell me how you keep ivy alive....I always kill it! I had a heart shaped ivy topiary and I am afriad that I can't bring it back .......Yikes...
ReplyDeleteHi Cindy! I'm taking a break from bloggin but just took a couple seconds to see what you were up to. The wreath is gorgeous! The birds have planted that same vine in my yard and it is very invasive and I continually pluck. I did allow to bloom just to see and it was a morning glory like flower; mine were pale pink almost white. Looks like the identical leaf so I hope that helped? Love the plant stand too!!! Sincerely, Jeannette
ReplyDeleteYou are so dang creative Cindy!
ReplyDeleteLOVE the living wreath!
I'm off to Marshalls!
It looks just like some wild morning glory (or at least that's what I call it) I have growing here in Texas. It seems to be blooming better than the ones I ordered from Renee's Heirloom Seeds! Not much, but a little.
ReplyDeleteBrenda
I love the birds!!! Your garden is so beautiful. It must be a retreat for you. Your blog is my time to dream.
ReplyDeleteTake care!
As always....love it all...even the unknown plant appeals to me...the untrimmed topiary...all of it I find delightful! I have a less than productive green thumb with more success sewing leaves and flowers rather than growing them. Thanks for sharing it. Pat
ReplyDeleteOh, Ah, I love the Fleur De Lis plant stand. . .good find. I adore Marshalls and T.J. Maxx. Never know what you'll find, but you'll always find something!!
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Sher
It's lovely. Marshall's has so much neat stuff for outside - and inside too of course. I love to go there.
ReplyDeleteYour wreath is filling out so beautifully. You really have the golden touch indoors and out!
ReplyDeleteNot only is your plant stand a good deal but you did a great job of planting it so quickly. It looks like it has been that way all summer!
ReplyDeleteI love coming here everyday to see what you're up to! What a great find. It has a beautiful patina too. I must have missed your living wreath post, so I'm heading off over there.
ReplyDeleteOh, that is so beautiful, and a great buy!
ReplyDeletexoxo,

Really pretty plant stand and it looks fabulous where you have it.
ReplyDeleteThe wreath is lovely....
What a wonderful plant stand. I love the bird too!! A cute touch.
ReplyDeleteI've heard that heart shaped leaf vine called several different names, but whatever it is, RUN, don't walk, to your garden and pull that sucker out and get rid of it. It is highly invasive and will strangle any other plant it comes in contact with. It is NOT morning glory. It multiplies faster than you can keep it pulled out if it gets a foothold in your garden. I know.
ReplyDeleteAnnie
What a great find! I gotta get to that store! You always find the greatest things there!
ReplyDeleteemily
it looks lovely, i think it would look great with towels on too inside in winter
ReplyDeleteloved your post on white homes, I have mostly white in my home, after becoming addicted to a book on decorating with white

Hi Cindy! What a beautiful little plant stand and you certainly can't beat the price! And you living wreath is gorgeous! You have green thumbs and white paint brushed! I'm so impressed!
ReplyDeleteBe a sweetie,
Shelia ;)
Beautiful. And it looks fantastic in your patio garden!
ReplyDeleteCan you come help me in my yard??PLEEEEESE. Yours looks so pretty and I hate yard work. LOL. Love your new plant stand and your living wreath!

Cindy,
ReplyDeleteMy two cents. I think the plant is a wild violet. They do not vine, but grow from rhizomes and are quite invasive as well. They get in my garden and then into my grass, but are so pretty when they blossom. They blossom in the spring if you care to wait that long.

Hi Cindy. Come over to my blog and check out Tablescrape Tuesdays sponsored by my friend Susan. You can click on her address and see the folk's tablescapes. But I want you to see is her tablescape. She is amazing and has the most beautiful dishes you've ever seen. Her table today reminded me of you - blue, white and shells. Go take a peek ~ You'll love it.
ReplyDeleteHope all is well and be a sweetie,
Shelia ;)
Don't you just love Marshalls!
ReplyDeleteEverything looks beautiful.
I let "something" grow in a hanging flower pot once because I thought it was a flower or something and it was a HUGE weed. OOPS!
What beautiful, peaceful images.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for your kind comments on my blog recently. It really touched my heart and meant so much.
Come on over and celebrate life on my blog!
Beautiful plant stand ~ I can never pass up fleur de lis items either. I'm impressed that the topiary is REAL!! And that wreath is so pretty. I've got a brown thumb!

Your wreath is beautiful. I tend to agree with Annie who said RUN and pull that vine out quickly. Yes, it might be a morning glory, but if it isn't you will have a "kudzo type" vine covering everything one morning. If this vine begins to have little red berries, DO NOT let them land anywhere! That vine took over my back yard and it is now coming up all over my lawn! Even mowing doesn't help. Better to buy morning glory seeds...then you know what you have.
ReplyDeleteLeAnne
That is a really nice plant stand and the impatience and bird look like they've grown into it already. Very nice.
ReplyDeleteThat does it..next year I have to make one of those living wreaths. It will be interesting to see what that vine is in your wreath.
Your table setting is lovely too..I love the starfish and the prettyness of your white china.
Thank you for sharing.
Have a lovely evening
Judi
I love this wreath so much. Did you make it? Buy it? I want one. :o)
