Freshly Painted Stairway

I had my staircase painted! It was painted the original beige color that my whole apartment was painted when I moved in. I had it painted white! It looks so fresh and clean now!  The only room left with that original color is the upstairs bathroom, which hopefully will be changed soon...if I stop being so lazy!  This year has been my year of having fun and getting out more with my girlfriends...living life but I still have projects around my apartment that I want to finish!
I had all the holes patched before they painted so I could rearrange the mirrors.

When I put them up the first time I just kept adding one at a time as I found them but I wasn't really happy with how they turned out.  I hung almost all of them up again but moved them around a bit.

Most of these mirrors were found at garage sales, thrift shops or flea markets.  The long one on the far right was found on the curb by my landlord! It's my favorite!

Most of them are plastic, some are wood and some are metal. I've repainted all of them! I don't think I paid over $10.00 for any of them. It took a couple years to find them but it was fun!

Thank you all so much for the wonderful compliments about my new hairstyle yesterday! Wow, you sure know how to make a person feel good! I didn't expect that many comments...it was wonderful.

  5. First of all, I LOVE your new haircut! Very pretty.

Your stair well is so pretty too and what a difference paint can make in changing things.
The mirrors are beautiful there. They make the stair case look more open, I think.

  23. Love your new look! And your blog, to which I am a newcomer.
I have studied the instructions on how to join Show and Tell Friday, but, sadly, have not figured out exactly how to do so. I have done my post, it is scheduled for Friday 12:01 am, but I am new to blogging, and don't think that is right. The permalink for the post is http://www.blogger.com/post-edit.g?blogID=5517865881645537696&postID=8877254089765457334. So if this permits participation, Yay. If not, I'll keep trying.
    Thanks! Your blog is lovely.

  27. Cindy, Your blog has become my most favorite! I live in a very small mid-century house and for me, it's inspiring because I see that you don't need to own a mansion or an old Victorian home to be surrounded with antique beauty. Love your hair too girl!

  38. Hi Cindy, I really like the way it turn out by you rearranging the mirrors this way. Of course it took awhile to get the mirrors so you wouldn't of been able to do it quite like this which was nice before, but this is perfect. I love it and my favorite mirror is the big one too.

    Enjoy your Day*

  43. Hi Cindy ~
Your staircase looks great!!! I love all the mirrors! I think having them grouped all together can really open up an area and make it look so much bigger and brighter. I can't believe your landlord was going to toss that mirror!!! Oh well, your gain :)) Love it!! You know what they say... "One man's (or woman's) trash is another man's treasure"
I just listed my first item on Etsy and it is a mirror that resembles all of yours :))
    Have a great day!!
