Last night I was playing around with iMovie on my MacBook and I made a little movie with some old photos from my blog along with some beach shots I've taken. Listen...you can hear the ocean!
That was great! So refreshing! You are so creative and talented! I know it must have taken you hours to do ( and you loved every minute of it, I just know!), but may I make one suggestion? I loved the way you alternated between scenes from the beach and then your lovely home. I would have loved for you to perhaps have a longer pause of the shots of say, the starfish and shells, so that my eye could linger there a bit and take in how the beach was truly in your home too. Just a suggestion! But I absolutely loved it, and I agree, what a wonderful way to start a Saturday! Bravo!
That was so beautiful! I recently returned from the beach and have some photos from a lovely shop on my blog.... and I have shells decorating so many nooks and cranny's in my home. This year, as usual, I am not embracing Fall yet but hanging on to the lingering days of summer and the shell decor. Your video was wonderful, thanks for sharing it! ~ Violet
Thanks Joanne I appreciate the feedback. I wish I knew how to make it linger on an item longer but I really don't know what I'm doing. I know there must be a way to do that but I couldn't figure it out. Yes, your are right... I spent hours working on that and I was really shocked when I looked at the clock and saw that 4 hours had gone by because it only felt like 1 hour!
Lovely! But I want to say something here......you know I happened upon your blog totally by chance while researching how to paint furniture and now I am looking at it every day. Why? Well, YES, it is beautiful...but what I really love is how you LOVE your home even though it is not your dream home. When we bought our house in SoCal we had 4 days to find one and I was pregnant so we quickly bought one thinking we would be moving again within a few years (that had been the pattern!). That was nearly 15 years ago and it appears we will be in it a long time to come. I have never loved my house, ever, and I am a total cottage type. But looking at your house has helped me realize that I CAN make mine beautiful and I CAN love it (and I can do it on a budget). You have helped my attitude immensely and I am very grateful. Thanks so much! Love, Steph.
Dearest Cindy, That was sooo well done! It was really gorgeous. You have so many pretty beachy items that you must almost feel like you live in a "beach home." Hugs, Cindy S.
Cindy, I loved watching your video. Thank you for opening your heart and home to others. You may be in an apartment but you have created your own little oasis and I love that about you. It encourages others to realize you don't have to own a huge house or an oceanside cottage. YOu can create one whever you are.
I loved it. I have always wanted a beach home. Grew up close to the beach and am a beach girl at heart. Loved the sound of the waves and the way you went back and forth to the ocean and your lovely "beach" cottage. I am always so inspired by your posts. Beverly
That was absolutely beautiful, Cindy. I've seen some of those shots of your home in still photos before but enjoyed them even more the second time around. You have a LOVELY home...btw are you still doing "Inspiration Fridays"....think I would like to join if you are.
That is so neat!! We luv the ocean and we leave the mountains and head to Malibu or Laguna Beach when ever we can. Had a great visit. Stop my when you can. Hugs, Connie
Hi Cindy, That was lovely. I really liked it. Thanks for taking the time to do that and to share it! You are an exceptionally talented lady!! Blessings, Nellie
Beautiful. Loved the music. What is it? What is the name of the Lighthouse? Ca beaches are so different from our beaches here in Florida. We are 5 miles from the beach. No matter how often I see pictures of your home, I never tire of them. Just beautiful. Thank you for sharing this with us.
Just beautiful! I am such a tech-doofus that I have no been able to make I-movie out! This inspires me to give it another go! (I'll have to clear it with Kanye...but I think your video is better than Beyonce's!;)
Cindy, rimango sempre incantata nel guardare la tua casa. Sei eccezionale, molto elegante e fantasiosa.... adoro tutto quello che fai per rendere la tua casa un posto meraviglioso. Un bacio
