I painted my green garage sale candles white and I think they look so much better.
I was so happy to see that my cloche fits perfectly on this dish!
Here are what the candlesticks used to look like:

ReplyDeleteYour candle sticks look beautiful. If I had found them I would have had to paint them black to match my decor!
I love the way the cloche fits perfectly on that pedestal bowl. I'll have to try it. I thought that the candlesticks looked great when you first posted them but I do agree that they do look better painted white. Enjoy ~~ Happy Halloween! Joanne

Okay, that was the greatest commercial ever!! I suspect it's more regional to your locale as I've never seen it and to my knowledge, there aren't any Kaiser's around here... I LOVE your candlesticks painted white, and the cloche looks like it was made for that bowl! Happy fall to you in California!...Donna
ReplyDeleteHi Cindy,
ReplyDeleteThe candlesticks look great!

Enjoy your creative painting!
isn't it just amazing, me and Mr BC call it the Power of Paint, nothing is sacred from it lol! did you age it with stain as well, I've never really got to grips with that...they look beautiful, great inspiration, just what I needed this morning
ReplyDeletethe advert is just too funny, love those old dears with the pom poms, there's hope for me yet to be a cheerleader lol!
Sarah

ReplyDeleteGreat post Cindy! I would've overlooked those candlesticks for sure ~ it's so great how you can envision the swan when it's still in the ugly duckling stage!
ReplyDeleteI really enjoyed the commercial!!
Karin
Another beautiful and creative post to inspire me to think outside the box. You did an awesome job on these Cindy.
ReplyDeleteThe candlesticks look 100% better. It takes a good eye to find something in a thrift store and be able to see in your mind how cute it will look after some fixing up, and you do fantastic with that.
ReplyDeleteHappy Halloween.
Ginger
The candlesticks are awesome -- what a dramatic difference. You really should open an ebay shop...I would be buying stuff from you every week! The commercial was so sweet. Love the cloche. The first time I found your blog I went out and bought two glass canisters and a set of white bird salt and pepper shakers...have a feeling I'll be adding a cloche soon!
ReplyDeleteHappy Halloween!
sheri
I already am an old woman.......uhhhhhhh, no, make that ONE HOT CHICK!!!! I left old woman behind long ago, my sweet little chickees!! Squeeeeeeealing with the best of them........Hahahah

Very nice. I have yet to come into that creative mode that knows you can take green candlesticks and paint them white! lol But...I am learning. Thanks for the ideas.
ReplyDeleteYou do a remarkable thing with a little paint and stain lady!!!!
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Sher
Great job on the candlesticks. Now they fit perfectly in your home. Love the cloche over the pumpkin display too! And yes....when I grow up I want to be an old woman having a great time like those ladies!
ReplyDeleteThe candlesticks are so much prettier now!
ReplyDeleteI too want to grow up to be an old woman. :)
Oh they look sooo much better. Really lovely.
ReplyDeleteGreat job as always!
Cindy, Well, the candlestick makeover is fabulous...just like everything else you do! Now, about that commercial....you have made THIS sixty-four year old smile today!!! And, for those of you who are young....please look forward to being "an old woman"....it's not bad and most of us feel much younger. My unasked for advice...find something you LOVE to do - it will keep you young at heart...therefore, a younger old woman! I loved the cheerleader..wasn't she a hoot!!! Take care. Pat
ReplyDeleteHi Cindy - thanks for replying. I don't think I've got the knack like you - OK if I send my pile of ironing round to you? LOL!
ReplyDeleteThose are beautiful! I like the cloche over the bowl too. Seems like everything you touch become beautiful!

I love how the candlesticks turned out. So pretty and fits in with your decor. Love it! We got rain too. So nice to see the rain again. But currently we are in So Calif for a wedding and will go to Disneyland. It is still raining this morning I think. At least it is wet outside anyway.
ReplyDeleteLove the video!
ReplyDeleteWendy

ReplyDelete~Liz~
I love that redo. I also love your cloche! Where from?
ReplyDeleteFantastic message in the video clip, life is fun and the more we have of it can only be more fun !
ReplyDeleteHow lucky for you cloche to find it's perfect match and those candles sticks, well what doesn't look better with a quick kiss of vintage cream paint?
Thanks for sharing with us all.
Betsy, the cloche is from Marshalls. I bought it last year.
ReplyDeleteFantastic makeover. Those candlesticks look awesome. You really did a beautiful job. What a great project!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fabulous commercial - thanks for sharing it! It has one of those jingles that can run around in your head all day - and what a great mantra!
ReplyDeleteAs always, love your transformations of late...everything looks great, but that little side table from a day or so ago really spoke to me. I seem to have a soft spot for unique little side tables. Weird, I know.
I found your blog through My Mom's blog, I absolutely love the candle sticks, your living room looks so cute, I love the shabby chic look myself and am working on it for my own house.
ReplyDeleteThose candlesticks came out awesome!
ReplyDeleteYour candlesticks are lovely. Reminds me I need to get around to re-doing mine someday.
ReplyDeleteLove that commercial! You're right, it sure made me smile.
Gosh, I haven't seen a Kaiser ad in so long. They don't have them out here, of course. I used to work there, ya' know. Longest year of my life. LOL I was an X-ray File Clerk at the Fontana site. X-rays are stored in the basement. That's the year I learned that I cannot survive without windows to the outside world. LOL
