Lowes won't tint primer anymore, they told me too many customer complaints. Whatever that means. Have you primer tinted as close to the final paint color you can and it will make this job wwwaaayyy easier!!!

Blessings,

Essential Oil Premier Universityhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08768926289456404485noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13907926.post-40917286818983688312008-05-14T12:15:00.000-07:002008-05-14T12:15:00.000-07:00Hey Cindy....first let me say I love how Lauren's ...Hey Cindy....first let me say I love how Lauren's dresser turned out.

I had/have red walls and I've never used a primer to paint over them (of course, I use a professional painter but he's never told me he needed to prime them). I paid $95 which to me isn't a steal but because it was a really good piece of furniture(solid wood with dove tail construction) I was willing to pay that. Sometimes you can find better deals on Craigslist but I had been looking for a dresser for awhile and Lauren and I both liked this so we bought it.Cindyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16995116580320608776noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13907926.post-62883214893380762232008-05-12T20:10:00.000-07:002008-05-12T20:10:00.000-07:00yes you do. unless you wan to spend a few more, an...yes you do. unless you wan to spend a few more, and get the SUPER PAINT, which you can use over dark colors, and you dont need to prime. you might want to do two coats though. but it worked for me, I just painted over tons of dark colors, and wen to more light colors, and it worked. Also, I recently painted over the red in my bedroom, and I primed it first. I used a special kind of primer for "drastic" color changes, like going from red to a lighter color. I bought mine at Lowe's. (The person behind the paint counter should know what this is.)
Keep up the great work!
