Happy Thanksgiving - Show and Tell Friday

 

Welcome to Show and Tell Friday!  I hope all my American friends had a great one!

This week I'm sharing my Thanksgiving table.  

This year I used a burlap runner and I really like how it adds a little rustic charm to a elegant table setting! 

I found this large silver-plated tray at an estate sale last week for $5.00!  I polished it up and it now looks beautiful!   The greenery I cut off a tree during on my lunch-time walk on Monday. I'm so happy I cut it Monday because my ex-husband took a turn for the worse on Tuesday morning and I ended up working from home Tuesday and Wednesday this week. 

 I think we will have to put him in a convalescent hospital soon.  When he was diagnosed I told him he could stay with us until he's not able to take care of himself. He has a hospice nurse that comes twice a week and we both agreed he's getting to the point now that he shouldn't be left home alone.

We are very thankful that he's here for Thanksgiving although he's not really eating much these days.  

 

My daughter and I were trying to think of something sort of rustic to do for the place setting name cards and we ended up using champagne corks! I like the whimsical look of them!
