Sorry but no Show and Tell this week. We are dealing with a terrible tragedy. My ex-husband (my daughter's dad) has been sick for the last couple weeks. I took him to ER on Monday night and what we thought what was a really bad stomach flu is pancreatic cancer. We've been spending every minute we can at the hospital. Even though he's my ex we have remained friends for so many years. My daughter was only six when we separated and now she's 22. Ugh...22 is way too young to lose her father! Please keep her and him in your thoughts and prayers. I need to get through the shock of the last two days! We found out Tuesday and it feels like the last two days have been weeks long!
Oh Cindy, you'll all be in my prayers...

ReplyDeleteI guess there is nothing to say that could ever mitigate the shock you expressed. Will commit to asking God's presence with and grace upon you, your daughter and her loved Father. Can't help but think how blessed he must feel to have you both with him now. Lord, please comfort your own and help them to face only one day, hour or minute at a time. Peace and calm to you all.

ReplyDeleteI am so sad for you and your family; my thoughts are with you all.
ReplyDeleteCindy...if i had this diagnosis, I would take myself to the Gerson Institute there in California. They have had success with this type of cancer unlike convential medicine. You can find them on the web. A woman who was cured there with pancretic cancer spoke to Michael Landon about going there and his doctors talked him out of it...just look at the web site and see what you think. I would give myself and a loved one every chance-convential medicine be damned. A good friend of mine just passed away after a year of chemo. I think there is a documentary on Netflick about their success...just type in gerson and see what comes up. I'm so sorry to hear this has happened to him. he must be terrified as any of us would be. There's a good chance for him with Gerson. I think they like to see you before chemo starts. I think they are in Southern California. My best wishes and prayers for your family, Cindy.
ReplyDeleteYour family is in my prayers Cindy! My children lost their dad too young as well, the day I became a widow, it's a rough walk for them. Praying that your daughter finds peace with this awful news! Sending hugs and prayers your way! Blessings, Cindy
