Kitchen Bar Stools Chalk Painted - Show and Tell Friday

Pin It Now!

Welcome to Show and Tell Friday!

Our apartment kitchen is so tiny and when friends are over everyone is always standing around the kitchen and there is nowhere to sit.  I've wanted to get some barstools and Target had them 20% off and I got another 5% off by using my Target Red Card. They were only $30-somthing for both! I couldn't resist! The problem was, they weren't white...they looked like this....

Before

So...I used Annie Sloan chalk paint to paint them!  They are still a work in progress. I need to give them another coat of paint and distress them a little and wax them but I couldn't wait to share!  I also want to make a little white linen ruffle slip cover for the top of them.

I'm really loving them already though!

I'm happy to be able to finally have a place to sit for a quick meal.

I hope to make the slip covers this weekend so I may share those next week!

So much prettier in white Cindy !
Maybe a graphic would be nice - transferred on them - or a stencil even?
Thanks so much for the party, as always.
Hope you have a great weekend!

Your apartment is so cute! The little white stools will bring much pleasure. I think the idea of a ruffly slip will be just the right touch!

I purchased and painted those same barstools in 3 shades of green. The white looks great!

Cindy, what a difference painting them white made! Can't wait to see them once you've finished distressing and waxing them and making slipcovers! You've created a beautiful spot to have a meal or a cup of this or glass of that.
