Mmmm Pepperidge Farm® Milano® Cookies and a chance to win a $100 Visa Gift Card

Pin It Now!

Is your life busy?  I'm sure like me you said YES to that!  It's not just the weekdays that are busy but my weekends also seem so hectic lately!  The times when I just sit down and relax are special to me.  Watching TV is how most people spend their downtime but I think it's really important to turn the TV off and turn on some relaxing music and just totally unwind.  When was the last time you did that?  When you were on vacation?  I think it's important to make time for a little down time. It's good for the soul!  I think now that I'm older and wiser I do this more often.  It just feels good!  It sort has become a little bit of a ritual for me. Sometimes it will be time spent on my patio with a glass of wine. Sometimes a weekend morning in front of the fire with a cup of coffee or better yet a mimosa!
Of course for me, I like to pamper myself a bit so instead of just coffee or tea in a mug, I like to get out some of my pretty china and use it.   I think so often we tend to only make things special when we have company but it feels so good to do this for yourself.  I treat myself like company! I deserve it!  Don't you?  Of course you do!

I was given this opportunity to write about Pepperidge Farm® Milano® cookies and they had no idea that I LOVE Milano cookies!  The chocolate mint Milano cookies are my favorite but the chocolate orange is a close second!

Yes, I've been known to eat them right out of the bag but why not make it one of those cherished relaxing moments and put them on some pretty china and sit down with some tea and really savor the moment?  I did...right after I took these photos. I sat by the fire with my mint chocolate Milano cookies and tea and just enjoyed some quiet time on an otherwise busy Sunday afternoon. The TV was off and I had some relaxing music playing.  It was like a 20 minute mini-vacation on a Sunday afternoon!

If you would like a chance to win a $100 Visa Gift Card please leave a comment about your favorite way to relax and treat yourself.

When I need a moment, I love to take a hike in the woods. While I am a long distance backpacker and can spends weeks/months out there hiking day in and day out, a hour in the woods can recharge/refresh me.

I have it lucky, my husband was okay with me leaving the work force so I wouldn't have to sit in traffic. I take time for myself by enjoying my coffee in the morning and gazing out my sliding glass door at the birds, my flowers and plants.
