Show and Tell Friday

 

Welcome to Show and Tell Friday and Happy May Day! I can't believe it's already May!  I don't have any new photos to share so I just grabbed a couple old ones this week.

 

I'm ready for summer! We've had a taste of it this week, it's been hot here in California...up in the 90s already! My new apartment stays fairly cool but I'm running the air conditioner tonight for the first time!

 

Today I went to Ikea on my lunch hour and finally bought some new slipcovers for my sofa.  I had to look up on my blog to see how long I've had my Ikea sofa...I can't believe I've had it 5 years already!  It's really held up well but it was finally time to get a new set of slipcovers for it. I had two sets of white ones and one got a full glass of red wine spilled on it (thanks to the puppy jumping on me and hitting the wine glass in my hand so hard it flew up in the air) and the other one had nail polish on it (thanks to my daughter)! I'm still shocked that the slipcovers are only $50 for the white ones! I can't wait to put them on this weekend! Now I need some new throw pillows...one thing always leads to another!

 

Now that it's May I can't wait to get out all my shells and start decorating for summer!  Looking at this old photo really inspires me!
