Welcome to Show and Tell Friday! My Eden rose bush is blooming like crazy! I cut all these blooms last weekend!
Then I put them in some silver mint julep cups on my dining room table...
Planting that Eden climbing rose was one of the best things I've ever done. It gives me constant bouquets almost all summer long!
I also did another little project last weekend...
I filled this wire basket that I've had for years with some sheet moss...
I bought this pack of sheet moss at the nursery a few weeks ago. It was a bit of a challenge to fit it into this basket but with some trimming I was able to make it work. Then I just filled it with some soil and some impatiens which are another one of my favorite flowers. Although these are annuals they will grow year round here in California if we don't get too much frost in the winter.
Thanks to all of you that join in on Show and Tell Friday every week and thanks to all of you who leave such nice comments!

I cannot believe your roses - they are stunning. And impatiens are a favorite of mine as well - no fertilizer, no deadheading, just water and they look fantastic all summer long. Here in New England, however, they are definitely annuals!... Donna
ReplyDeleteYour project turned out beautiful. It looks great on your patio!
ReplyDeleteAll your photos are just gorgeous!
Thanks so much for hosting!

Cindy - What do you use to fertilize your garden? Your flowers are so lush and prolific. My garden is nothing like yours although I live pretty close to you and we have the same soil and the same weather. I'm so jealous! Love your house and your garden - all so pretty and feminine.

Those roses are unbelievable...I can't get over how many you have. I planted fairy roses at my old house and they bloomed all summer. I planted them here and they only bloom in the spring. I guess it was a different variety. I have a similar white metal container...you've inspired me to fill with moss and plant some impatiens in mine! Thanks for the linky party...great as always.
ReplyDeleteI really haven't fertilized them... I did use Miracle Grow but I don't think that had too much to do with this bloom which was the second round this season. The first blooms are always the best and the biggest. I do water a lot though.
ReplyDeleteFantastic floral arrangements! Thanks for hosting Show & Tell Friday!
