Welcome to Show and Tell Friday!! I actually have some REALLY good news to share! I got a job!!! Whoohoo! I'm no longer unemployed! I start my new job on Wednesday! I'm an Executive Assistant to two VPs in the Recruiting Department of a Fortune 500 company! I'm so relieved that I found a job!
Now, on to Show and tell Friday! My daughter and I have two baby showers to go to in the near future so we made diaper cakes! These were so much fun to create! This one is for a girl-baby... obviously!
We also made little gift baskets and filled them with some cute baby clothes...all in matching colors of course....
This is the baby-boys...
I picked this non-traditional color because I found the cutest little onesie that looks like a tuxedo...you can see it in the basket below....
Hopefully both these momma's won't be checking my blog soon or the surprise will be ruined!
If you are joining in on Show and Tell Friday, please remember that your Show and Tell needs to be something from your home or garden. ReplyDeleteWell, gosh, congratulations, Cindy! I just knew that one of these times, you'd have a big announcement for us; whew, what a relief...and, look, when you think about it, even though you'd known you were going to get laid off, your actual downtime without the regular paycheck wasn't that long, which is a testament to your credentials...I mean, seriously, in these times, to be over age 50 (although you look FAB!) and be able to cover lost ground so quickly with a great job...wow...be proud of yourself that you've kept up fresh skills, didn't let your spirits sink too much (which can play havoc on interviews) and your organized and comprehensive job search paid off, because job-hunting is hard, sometimes gut-wrenching work (rejections et al). Good for you! TERRIFIC, happy news.
ReplyDeleteAnd I love the diaper cakes...is that what you called them? The cutest things; so creative.
Enjoy the rest of your time off before your new, fresh start and, again, congrats and all best wishes on the new position as 2012 is really just gearing up. A new job has its own stresses but it's very rewarding to be once again holding a paycheck!
YEAH CINDY!!!!!! Great news about the job. They will be SO LUCKY to have you. CONGRATULATIONS.
ReplyDeleteThat baby cake for a little girl baby is fabulous! How do you EVER make such a beautiful creation? Did you make that up? FABULOUS. Susan
Hi Cindy,
ReplyDeleteI've enjoyed your blog for awhile. You are very creative. I discovered your blog when I found you profiled on Jennifer Grey's The Old Painted Cottage. I admire how you've reinvented yourself with diet and exercise and now starting over again with a new career. You are very inspiring. I lost my husband and had to start over again; life goes on and people like you encourage people like me more than you know. Wishing you all the best.
