Since I'm an Administrative Assistant, I have to wish all of you who also share my profession a Happy Administrative Professionals Day today!
If you know an Admin, a Secretary, a Clerical Worker or a Executive Assistant, wish them a happy day today too!! Sometimes this can be a thankless job so it's nice to be recognized on this day!
This morining I got up and picked this beautiful bouquet of flowers from my garden to share with all the Admins out there!
Our bosses are taking our department Admins out to lunch today. Two of my best friends, Kim and Natasha are Admins in my group so I know we will have a great time!! I'm so lucky to have them not only as coworkers but also great friends! If you've been reading my blog awhile you've probably seen them in all my day trips to Carmel, Napa, Sausalito.... We plan on taking more day trips this summer too!
Happy Admin's Day!!!
Hi Cindy,
ReplyDeleteA very Happy Admin day to you too...I share your profession as a Administrative Analyst in Menlo Park.
Have a sweet day and the Flowers are beautiful..
Hugs, Elizabeth
Administrative Professionals Day, is that what they call it these days? :) I was an Executive SECRETARY for almost 10 years of my life. I chose it even after graduating from college and studying Interior Design. I chose it after finishing my Music & Theory studies of nine years with a diploma granting me teaching rights. Why? Because from the time I was a little girl I'd daydream for hours playing with a typewriter, phone, and message pad. Do what you love was always my belief regarding work.
ReplyDeleteYears later I watched how God developed and fine tuned the gift of administration in so many other areas of my life.
Happy day to all administrators and all who do what they love.
That is a sweet flower bouquet! You are nice to call attention to this day for your profession!
ReplyDeleteJust lovely....wishing you a very happy Admin Day!

ReplyDeleteHappy Day to you! I was a paralegal up until a few years ago and always enjoyed the Administrative Professional Day!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your day and hope it is a good one! The bouquet is beautiful.

How sweet! Thank you for the beautiful bouquet. I also am an administrative professional. I am a legal secretary. I hope you have a wonderful bouquet filled Administrative Professionals Day as well.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful flower bouquet! It seems you have developed MANY talents.
ReplyDeleteHope you had a Happy Administrative Professionals Day. So few people remember it anymore, especially with the fear of sexual harrashment running amuck (that's not to say it doesn't happen, though).
One thing about making your own bouquet--you get to pick your favorite flowers and colors and fragarence! I bet it smells 10 times better than anything from a floral shope!
Hugs, Sophie
Hi Cindy,
ReplyDeleteI wish you a very happy Admin Day!-
Beautiful floral arrangement. Blessings always.
Cindy, happy admin. asst. to you. Sometimes our jobs are thankless so it's nice to have a day to ourselves.
ReplyDeleteLinda
What a lovely way to say thank you!
ReplyDeleteMy bosses forgot, did send emails finally, trying to plan a lunch next week. Humph. Thanks for the flowers.
ReplyDeleteWe are celebrating all week at our firm and our celebrations are incredible! We are on a "cruise" all week and in addition to the tropical feast for lunch we had a "spa" from 2-5:30 and people went crazy. Honestly it's our best staff appreciation week ever!!! I'm on the HR planning team and I'm exhausted but so happy to see all of our hard-working support team honored in such a special way. I hope you were treated like royalty today!
ReplyDeleteHappy Admin day to you too! I was an Admin for over 25 years. And lived in San Jose for part of that time.
ReplyDeleteI am an administrative assistant too. The average person does not understand how much power the admin has in an office. If you can't get past us, you can't get your foot in the door. So treat us nicely. Power....I love it!
ReplyDeleteHappy Administrative Prof day to you. My daughter is a secretary and she always gets flowers. Here they call it "Secretary's Day".
ReplyDeleteHey you know way down South we can't have something that sounds that fancy. I am a "Domestic Engineer" but no one has a day for that. (Housewife....24/7) The work never ends and there is no sick time, vacation days, or retirement.
It's a hard job, but I love it.
