Last week a date took me to a place I had never been before, Enoteca La Storia in Los Gatos, California. I I was really impressed with this place and even more so when I heard that Joe, one of the owners, constructed most of this place himself! He built all these wine shelves!
The floor looks like old salvaged wood but it isn't, he distressed it himself...
We sat at the bar and had wine and cheese. I took my friend Becky there last night and we had already had dinner but the sandwiches they were making looked amazing! I'll have to go back for one of those!
He made this wine glass holder from copper pipe and then got the beautiful patina by applying acid.
The owners, Joe and Mike have included many photos of their families...
Aren't these wine tags cute?
Here are the owners, Joe and Mike...
If you area in the area I highly recommend a visit here!

Next door to Enoteca La Storia is a beautiful shop called
Bianco. It's full of beautiful white things so of course I loved it! The owner wouldn't allow me to take photos inside, which I understand...they are very creative and their ideas would just be duplicated elsewhere if they were posted on a blog.
I highly recommend a visit to both these places if you are in the area!
