Oh such a quaint little town...

You may remember a couple weeks ago I did a post about the weekend my boyfriend (Mr. C) and I spent in Nevada City...well I'm finally getting around to sharing the rest of this quaint little Northern California town with you!
Nevada City, California is located in the Gold Country in Northern California.  This is the area where gold was discovered in the 1800s and the first settlers built these cute little towns.  They make the perfect getaway weekend trips for those of us in Northern California. Lots of the old homes have been turned into Bed and Breakfast Inns.

Below is the National Hotel...

This lovely place below is The Parsonage Bed and Breakfast...

This beautiful home was right across the street from the B&B we stayed in...

Here's a closer view....

This shop, called Tanglewood Forest was gorgeous...

This is the oldest theatre in California...

I hope you enjoyed seeing this Northern California town! I would really love to go back for a weekend sometime this month for their Victorian Christmas Celebration but unfortunately I don't think we will have time! Maybe next year...

  3. I was married in the National Hotel while my husband was performing in a play in that theater. Nevada City is very dear to me.

  8. What a sweet little town this is, I'm sure you had a great time exploring it. That white house across from your B&B is adorable! Makes you wonder who lives there, and if they're used to being a tourist attraction, LOL.

  18. This town is definitely quaint but I still love Petaluma most of all. Whenever I visit my son in San Francisco, I always drive to Petaluma to visit Summer Cottage Antique Mall and then on to Santa Rosa. You do live in a fabulous area. So glad you've found a 'nice guy' through your internet dating experience. Next trip to SFO will include a trip to San Jose and Los Gatos. My 'ex' was born & raised in San Jose, but I've never been there. Do you ever go to Montecito? It's on my 'bucket list' too. Glad you're having fun Cindy!!

I need to head there. It has been years! But I'm guessing it hasn't changed too much?
