I agree- lighting sets the mood. I like a soft dim light myself. I just found a lamp at the antique store that gives the perfect diffused light. Perfect for writing.

Hi Cindy, I agree that lighting makes a difference in a room. I love chandeliers and different and unique lamps. I keep low wattage bulbs in a lot of them and turn them on at night just to feel warm and cozy. My husband calls it my light show.
You are absolutely, positively, definitely right about extra lighting in a room. Doesn't it just make a space come alive? Your touches are just beautiful, of course.
Cindy ~ I love your lighting mosaic. Would you believe I just got through cleaning my huge crystal chandelier and came in the den to rest and drink coffee. I use a spray from Lowe's called Portfoli. It is for crystal fixtures and your jewelry. That is a great giveaway for someone needing lighting. Your post are always so pretty.":O)
Love your pretty lamps and lighting fixtures. We live in a "cookie cutter" house so our light fixtures are pretty standard--- and boring. Someday we are hoping to change that.
Hi Cindy... I just found your blog today, by randomly browsing Google while searching for photos of Peonies.... And I'm browsing "all the way" from Rome, Italy!
Let me just say that I love your posts... your photos, your passion! It must be a real second job to maintain your home so beautiful.. not to mention costly! Very inspiring!
Oh Cindy, the kitchen, the kitchen, the kitchen! I LOVE IT!!! I love toile, and I love blue willow plates even more! You have lovely taste. You are SO right about lighting, too. Loved this post : ).
So good to see your lovely home again. You have such a gift for creating lovely spaces. There is no other blog like yours, I never tire of looking through the old post but find myself hoping more and more for new ones.
There is a relatively cheap way of updating your home’s interior mood just by introducing suitable lighting accents. It’s quick to do and it can make a huge difference.
love all your accessories!!
