Show and Tell Friday

Pin It Now!

I can't believe how fast this week has flown by!!!  Friday's seem to sneak up on me so quickly lately!  This week I'm sharing a plant stand that I bought at Marshalls a couple years ago.  I'm not really sure how it was supposed to be used but I put moss around the bottom and sides and filled it with soil and plants...
It's been in my backyard for awhile now and it's holding up well!
These are actually old photos...I planted impatiens last weekend but they have a ways to go before they look like this...
something to look forward to though!  I LOVE impatiens, they are such sweet little flowers!

If you are joining in on Show and Tell Friday, please remember that your Show and Tell needs to be something from your home or garden. Please read the Show and Tell Guidelines for step-by-step instructions on how to participate. If you would like to join in, please enter your name and leave your exact Show and Tell blog post link, not just your blog link and as a common courtesy link back to my blog. If your link has been removed, please re-read over the guidelines before re-posting, or e-mail me with any questions.Thank you! I look forward to seeing everyone's posts...it may take me awhile to get around to visit everyone since I work full time but I'll do my best to get to your blog as soon as I can!

Your plant stand must be quiet old because it has the french lily design
"fleur-de-lis" which is particularly associated with the French monarchy in a historical context.
The stand is made for flower pots. I have one in wood. You decorated it very nicely and the funniest thing is that you have the same bird then I do, although we live so far from each other on an other continent !

I so love things with MOSS in the garden! I am working on a moss covered toad house (base is hollowed out log with a peat moss/cement mushroom shape top). I am planting "chicks & hens in the center and the rest I plan to get moss growing on. What is it about Moss that brings such romantic whimsicle thoughts?!
I think i will be signing up for the Show & Tell Friday. It sounds like Fun.

Looks fabulous, Cindy. You always inspire me to get out in the backyard and make it pretty. I always have to be ready to lose a pot to boys in the hood playing baseball and horsin' around but that is ok. lol

Oh I love impatiens too! Sadly, at That Old House, the deer love them equally as well. So, I confine them to porch pots.

LOVE that plant stand; it looks beautiful -- old, too.

And good luck in school! What a wonderful new adventure.

Cindy,
I think it's wonderful you're returning to school. Interior Design is a fun profession. I had my degree, but returned to school years later to learn AutoCAD.
Best of luck!
