I went to the Alameda Flea Market today, but unfortunately I forgot to bring my camera even though I had it sitting right at the bottom of the stairs so I wouldn't forget it! There were some really beautiful things there and it was such I beautiful day, I sure wish I could have shared it with you. You'll have to settle with the photos of the things I bought. Most of which will be listed in my etsy shop but I did find a few things for myself.
I also bought this urn, I think it was only $10.
It's looking like Spring in my garden! I have lots of pansies and Johnny jump-ups and my lilacs are starting to bloom. It even looks like there may be rose buds starting to form on one of my rose bushes! My fuchsia and my azaleas are also blooming! I love this time of year!I'll have some new things in my etsy shop later this week...including some vintage linen and lace items!
I love your your finds Cindy! I have wanted to go to the Almedia Flea Market forever! But, I live way to far..thanks for sharing..that urn is fantastic! lulu

I love your great finds.....beautiful urns and that angel. I have the same plaque that you have on your fence......I once saw in your photo's.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing gorgeous stuff as usual.
Well I really think it adds to the cherubs character but very sneaky of the vendor to do that!
ReplyDeletealicia
Hi Cindy, I love both your finds and that urn is simply gorgeous! I love cherubs too and have a few of them in my dining room! take care, Maryann

Hey Cindy!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you had a nice weekend and found some goodies. :) I am lovin' the angel...I don't mind garden things that have been cracked, I think it gives them character. :)
You should pop over to my blog and see what I figured out how to make! Yeah, I know it's a teaser, but I was so happy when I thought of this idea!!! :)
Happy Monday!
I think the cracked wing adds character. I have a cherub that has one wing completely chopped in half, my mom didn't want him anymore since it was broken so I adopted him. I love your garden!!! I'm excited to see all your flowers bloom:)
ReplyDeleteLove your angels but sorry you faced dishonesty of the vendor.
ReplyDelete:-(
I know you'll put it to good use nonetheless. Have a good week, Cindy!
I am a new follower, Cindy.

Hi Cindy,
ReplyDeleteLove your angel & garden mosaics. The urn was a great buy and looks so pretty with the purple pansies in it.
Happy MM

Cindy~ I love your beautiful handicap angel and you got a good
ReplyDeletedeal on that beautiful urn. I am
sorry you had to deal with a deceitful vendor. I would have loved to have gone with you but maybe next time you won't forget us.:O)
Great find in your new garden Angel, even with the crack in her wing. Your garden is looking "heavenly"....makes me want to get started on mine. As always you are an inspiration.
ReplyDeleteI wonder if we could see your blooming azaleas?
ReplyDeleteI have got some azaleas in my garden as well but snow is still on them :)
Cindy,
ReplyDeleteLove the cherubs and the urns. I'm glad that it was just a crack and not something more serious. Actually, the crack gives the piece a bit more character!
Looking forward to seeing more of your garden. As beautiful as your home is, your garden is really equally special!
Marilyn (in Dallas)
Despite the crack, the angel head is still lovely.

I've always thought that the cracks and chips make such things all the more charming. Love the photos and would really like to see more of your garden. Spring is coming very slowly and cautiously here in NC this year.
ReplyDeleteI love all your treasures. Some day I am going to have to get to that sale. Perhaps a trip to California is in order, a little vacation junking. Florence
ReplyDeleteAll the angels you have are so sweet. Cracked wing or not. {although she really should have told you about that!!}
ReplyDeleteHope you have a happy week, xoxo Lidy
Cindy....Your angels are so pretty in your garden. You got some good deals! I am so jealous you have flowers coming up in your garden!~Patti
ReplyDeleteWhat great finds you had this weekend.....love the urn and the detail on it!
ReplyDeleteMy daughter and I went also. There was a post about the flea market @ poppytalk blog. Fascinating to see what people saw or didn't see. . .
ReplyDeleteit was an incredibly beautiful day for strolling the market.
Flea markets are so fun - never know what you might find!
ReplyDeleteSome people are sneaky like that. I bought a cherub at a thrift store and she only charged me $1.00 for it, because it had a broken wing... can you believe it? I will post it this week. Still you got a good deal with your angel and your pot.
ReplyDeleteBlessings!
Gwen
Hi cindy,I love the urn, and the garden angel!!I just love your back garden, it's beautiful...Kathy
ReplyDeleteHai Cindy,
ReplyDeleteLong time no "talk"! You're talking about "garden angels" and I'm a little garden angel (tuinengeltje). That's the name of my website. Youre blog is still one of my favourites.
I just mailed to say "Hello"!
Beybey, Sylvia (Amsterdam, The Netherlands)
What a lovely site you have. I think the pansies look great in the urn. I am a major treasure hunter, if I could only learn how to include pics in my posts I could share some of my finds. Well, until I get it, I'll just enjoy your beautiful photos.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing,
Tina :o)
Oh, I love that urn. That price is a steal. A couple of weeks ago I bought a $30 plate holder on clearance for $6 at Hobby Lobby. After I got it home I saw where it had broken and they glued it back together. I glued it again with Gorilla super glue and now you can't even tell. I think the angel was worth it. Doesn't a crack make it look 'shabby'?
ReplyDeleteeverything is just sooo beautiful, so happy you enjoyed yourself!!!
ReplyDeleteThese finds are gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteBonjour Cindy,
ReplyDeleteYou got some beautiful finds. The angel is fabulous even with a broken wing! I really like what you've done to your blog, trés jolie!
Good week to you!
Broken wings on garden angels are just an addition to their charm!!
ReplyDeleteLucky girl you got terrific finds and just in time for spring.
ReplyDeleteSylvia
Lovely finds. The crack in the wing will just add more character.
ReplyDeleteSissie
Fabulous finds, Cindy! Cracked wing or not, it's darling! I adore your new cherub urn!
ReplyDeleteThank you for all the inspiration you give and sharing your world with us.
I added your button to my "blogs that inspire" in my side bar. I hope you don't mind. You have always inspired me. You should see my recent post! You're partly to blame, girl! ha!
Have a lovely week, stay dry!
Cheers!
Tina
Oh Cindy, pansies are my favorites, especially the blue ones! Your patio is so beautiful -- thanks so much for sharing it at Mosaic Monday. :)
ReplyDeleteps -- LOVE the cherubs!

Cindy, think of cracked and/or chipped treasures as having character. (something I have learned)
ReplyDeleteJudith
It does look like Spring has sprung at your house. You are so lucky. We are expecting more snow tomorrow. AHHH Spring...will you ever come to my house?
ReplyDeleteOh my she looks perfect watching over your garden.... I love her and her broken wing...

Wow, now how did I miss those? I love that angel and think it's better she has a cracked wing, she has character. I know which angel you're talking about with a broken neck because I have one too but my cat knocked it off my balcony years ago, still love it to bits though. The urn is great too Cindy. Wasn't it the most beautiful day? Lucky us!
