You may remember awhile back a beautiful mirror that Cathy gave me that I put in my dining room. At that time she also gave me a bag full of vintage crocheted lace trim.
It was way too pretty to put in a closet so I rolled them up and put them in a large jar. This jar is actually a beverage dispenser but I just turned it around so the spout is in the back.
It looked a little plain so I dropped in some of my old white buttons. 
Now I can enjoy looking at the lace every day. I'm sure if I had it in a drawer or closet I would forget all about it! I have almost all my vintage lace and linen out where I can see it and enjoy it daily!

I like lace, this lace reminds me of the collar's you wore around your neck with sweaters in the 1950's. Hope you have a nice Easter.

That looks so pretty! It is a shame to keep pretty trims, buttons and even colorful spools of thread hidden away. If I can figure out a permanent place to craft, I would love to display all those beautiful, inspiring materials.
I love that. Wish I thought like you do. I'm a sewer and so perfect for my studio. The touch with the buttons makes it perfect.

It's a nice way to show some "treasures"! I have many jars and pots and I have stuffed them with pink roses and white roses, lace. That's also beautifull to display your roses.

i saw one of those beverage dispensers at our local fabric superstore and thought what a bummer about the spout but of course broad minded you was undeterred by such a small thing. well done, i feel like going back and getting it now!

I like this idea! I collected 3 apothecary jars to go on my buffet in a grouping, but so far I've only filled one with typography type ceramic balls. I decided to be ok with the other 2 being empty until I figured out what I really wanted to put in them. I think buttons or an idea similar to this would work well in that space! I'll have to keep my eye out for buttons that would work well! Thanks for the inspiration!
