Is it too early for Easter decor?

Pin It Now!

I'm K I D D I N G !   Of course I know it's waaaaay too early to decorate for Easter but I had to share these cute faux-chocolate Easter Bunnies with you! I bought them at Marshalls. The one above is big and it was only $12.99! There is also a Mrs. Bunny that goes with him and I'm going back to get her. I wasn't sure I would like these once I got them home but I LOVE THEM! Yes, that's Valentine's candy in the jar and no I don't think it's too early to decorate for that! It is only a month away!
This smaller one above was $4.99! It's so funny, I bought them on my lunch hour and brought them back to my desk. I had them sitting on my file cabinet (because I'm like a kid that way) and everyone that walked up thought they were real! (they also think I'm a little crazy!)

Okay, I'll pack them up now and put them away until we are closer to Easter!  How early is too early to decorate for Easter? Maybe mid-March is okay?

I love your faux chocolate bunnies. In fact, I've got some myself. And it's definitely not too early for Valentine's candy. Are those conversation hearts I see? I sent my hubby looking for Valentine's Peeps the other day, but now I'm craving the hearts!

Hope you have a great day!

I thought Marshall's had closed. Which still-open one do you go to?
And yes, a tad too early for Easter--you can't skip Valentines!

I got these at the Milpitas Marshalls. There is also one in Campbell in the Pruneyard shopping center.

Personally, I don't think it's too early. LOL! I happen to love Easter and all of the pastel decorations which go perfectly in my house.

As for your faux chocolate bunnies-I mean-who doesn't love bunnies?

Looovvve the bunnies! And no, it's not too early for Valentines decor! BTW, Easter is April 12th and mid-March would be perfect for putting out the bunnies, eggs and chicks! I have a pair of stuffed bunnies - Babs and Bruster - who are 54" tall, and I sit them at th wrought iron table on my front porch. (From Cracker Barrel, btw). Don't know if I'll put them out this year as we'll be leaving on Good Friday for a camping and canoeing trip to Savannah area. Have a great day! Becky G.

Gosh, Cindy!! I WANT to go to Marshalls right now! (By the way, did you receive my email about that maaaaany moons ago? I fear it has flown in your spamfolder:( If not, I will forward it again!)
The bunnies are lovely, and it is NEVER too early to decorate for Easter! I think after St. Valentine's day, if you don't consider St. Patrick's day, would be pefect!
Enjoy those bunnies!
Monica.

Cindy, those are adorable and in the pictures they look real. I say it's never too early for bunnies. I'm not much for decorating for Valentines, but I love the Easter decorations.
Great find you got at Marshalls. Wish we had one here.

Those bunnies are great. Nah, you don't have to wait until March. As soon as one holiday is over, it's time to decorate for the next. So I would say....Feb.15?

The Easter Bunnies are great! I saw some similar to at Home Goods! They really do look like chocolate bunnies!

Barb @ The Everyday Home said...

Oh I almost bought one similiar at Ross yesterday. Accept this one was wrapped in different colors of foil lik eyou sometimes see. I like yours much better, although the foil one would not make me want chocolate as much. I would have to keep Cole away from it cause he would try to eat it. LOL
Isn't it funny....u can't wait for Fall, you can't wait for Christmas, you can't wait for Spring - we are so fickle! :-) Hugs, Barb

Well, why not? Decorate whatever you want whenever you want, Cindy! I don't think Marshalls will go out of business, as many of the stores are. You give them too much good business!

Cindy;

They are so cute. I actually went to a Ganz's Warehouse sale in Canada and bought smaller versions for 1.50 each. But I'm going to Winner's which is the Canadian store here for Marchalls, owned by the same company......to see if they have any of the bigger size like you got.

They are so cute and everyone thinks that they really are chocolate.LOL.

Love, love your home. Erica

I love the faux chocolate bunnies. My thought is if the stores are decorating for Easter then it's fair game. I like to put it up early so that I can enjoy it. The holidays always come and go so fast. Start getting your chicks out too.

I have the smaller one, too... I don't think you're all that early.... And definitely by the first of March, you can kind of start pushing the envelope on Easter. Otherwise, it's gone! Love your tassles, by the way...

Too funny .....I was worried if it was too early to post for Valentines ...which I did anyway cause I needed something cheerful after the January doldrums.

...good thing I don't have those bunnies. They look so real I'd probably take a bite of them the way I've been with chocolate lately ...can't get enough !

Cindy,
I love the chocolate bunny...I would take the jellybeans out of his basket and buy valentine hershey kisses and fill his basket...place him on a red paper lacey heart and put hershey kisses around him...I think it would be adorable...put a red ribbon around his neck with a little glass drop hanging from the bow...it would make him look velvet and very romantic.

Also I want to paint a wood floor and wood stair white, do you know what paints to use or where I can find out.

Too funny! I asked myself the same question just the other day. Can't seem to get inspired to do anything else in my living room because all I can think about is springy, Easter-type decor. I say bring it on! Wonder if it has to do with the fabulous weather we've been having here in Northern California?? Cheryl in California
