On days like this, when I don't have anything to post on my blog, I know I can always count on Flickr to help me out! These are other flickr member's photos which I've marked as my favorites and turned into a mosaic. Don't you just love that Nantucket cottage in the middle?
I have over 1,000 photos marked as my favorites on Flickr. Just looking at them can put me in a better mood! You can see them here.
Update: This is where I make my mosaics.
This mosaic is beautiful... I'd like to thank you so much for taking the time to stop over and give me the "How to Dry Hydrangeas Tips" .... I appreciate you answering the questions that I had. Have a beautiful day!

Hi Cindy,
ReplyDeleteAhhhhh.... summer days! I actually pass that cottage every year in Nantucket. It's very close to where we stay on the Island, and is equally as beautiful in person.

ReplyDeleteThis is a beautiful mosaic and I'm hoping that my garden will have some of these sweet flowers this year. I planted 3 Iceburg roses last summer and I'm thinking that they will put on a great show in their second year!
ReplyDeletebtw how do you make a mosaic? They're so cool.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pictures! Thank-you for the link to the mosaic page. I did not participate in you year review because I could not make a mosaic. I thought to myself how sad is that! So I spent a few days trying to learn more about the things we could do with our blogs. Thank-you again for this link I will use it for sure.

I took a trip over to Flickr to look at your favorites and OH MY! Such beauty! Please share your technique for finding beautiful, inspirational photos like the ones you have bookmarked as favorites. Do you search by tags such as "pink roses" or "cottages", or is there another method you use? Everytime I have searched Flickr I get so overwhelmed by photos I'm not particularly interested in.
ReplyDeleteHi Shari, some of them I found through searches but most of them I have found through other people's favorites. For instance, if you see one of my favorites you like, click on the photo, then go over to the person's user name which will be on the right and click that, then go up and click on "favorites" to their favorites and look for things you like. When you find someones things you like then you can add them as a contact so you can easily check back with them for updated photos. I hope that makes sense. Email me if you need clarification!
ReplyDeleteHi Cindy, I haven't commented before but always read your blog. Thank you so much for your favorites on Flickr!! I have just spent the last hour checking out all the fabulous photos, just inspiring!! Suzanne:)
ReplyDeleteOh, I love the mosaic you did! It makes me smile every time I view it. Thanks for taking the time to put it together for all of us to enjoy.
ReplyDeleteCindy, I went and took a look at your flicker group. OMG they are beautiful!!!! I LOVE them all. I could sit and look at them for hours. I'll be day dreaming now for a while. Tina
ReplyDeleteGorgeous. They're all absolutely gorgeous.

Cindy, your garden is beautiful--I can't wait for spring. I planted a bunch of irises and I just know they won't come up. I love your etsy shop!
ReplyDeleteHey Cindy, I sure do enjoy your blog and great decorating ideas. I was looking through your photos and saw the blue cottage wooden sign with the pink bicycle, I was wondering where you got it. I have a pink Electra retro reproduction bike, and thought that sign would look great somewhere in my house. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteThat is pretty Cindy, really gives all a feel of Spring or Summer.
ReplyDeleteI would like to HAVE that Nantucket Cottage!!!
Linda
Christy, I bought the cottage sign from Denise... Here is her blog:

What a beautiful mosaic. I am lucky as I don't have to dream of summer - I am lucky enough to live in Australia where it is Summer.
ReplyDeleteTher is nothing as pretty as a pink Pierre de Ronsard rose like in your mosaic. Mine are looking really pretty right now
Wow Cindy, that is absolutely gorgeous! And so many months away : / lol!
ReplyDeleteSeems everyone has a bit of Spring fever these days.
Sharon
I wish you had a smell-o-meter on your blog so that we could smell those beautiful flowers ! Gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteLovely mosaic. The cottage is gorgeous. I wanted to go to Nantucket this summer.
ReplyDeleteI do love winter but I've had enough already! Too much snow too early in the season!
I'm off to look at your faves!!!
I'll settle for spring at this point!;D
ReplyDeleteStunning! I'll have to check out flickr. Thanks!

We are buried under 2 feet of snow and I am really needing to be reminded that spring is coming!
Hugz, Dolly
How breathtaking! Can you imagine... having to put a trellis on your roof for roses to climb? Sigh......
ReplyDeleteYour ribbon embroidery is TDF. Gee, if I ever finish, (or at least START) all the many projects in my head, perhaps I'll pick up that book and learn too, lol!
LOVE the banner as well, xox is perfect!
I just found your site and I love it. I can't wait to try your painting technique on my old bedroom set. It looks a bit like the one you have on your site. Wish me luck. God Bless, Susan
