Red Lobster Cheese Biscuits
2 ½ cups Bisquick baking mix
¾ cup cold whole milk
4 tablespoons cold butter (1/2 stick)
¼ teaspoon garlic powder
1 heaping cup grated cheddar cheese
Bush on Top:
2 tablespoons butter, melted
¼ teaspoon dried parsley flakes
½ teaspoon garlic powder
pinch salt
Directions
1. Preheat your oven to 400 degrees.
2. Combine Bisquick with cold butter in a medium bowl using a pastry cutter or a large fork. You don't want to mix too thoroughly. There should be small chunks of butter in there that are about the size of peas. Add cheddar cheese, milk, and ¼ teaspoon garlic. Mix by hand until combined, but don't over mix.
3. Drop approximately ¼-cup portions of the dough onto an ungreased cookie sheet using an ice cream scoop.
4. Bake for 15 to 17 minutes or until the tops of the biscuits begin to turn light brown.
5. When you take the biscuits out of the oven, melt 2 tablespoons butter is a small bowl in your microwave. Stir in ½ teaspoon garlic powder and the dried parsley flakes. Use a brush to spread this garlic butter over the tops of all the biscuits. Use up all of the butter.
Makes one dozen biscuits.
Cindy, Yummmmm, they look delicious! I downloaded the recipe. I'll have to try them.
ReplyDeleteSandyt
OMG that looks to die for!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE those biscuits! They are so garlicky good. We were at Red Lobster last week and I limited myself to just one biscuit (which I ate slowly to savor every bite).
ReplyDeleteManuela
Yum! I love breads, almost more than sweets, and Red Lobster's biscuits are scrumptious! Years ago I tried a copy cat recipe but much to my disappointment, my biscuits didn't turn out anything like Red Lobster's biscuits so I just might have to see how this recipe compares. :)
ReplyDeleteAnd huge congrats on the 10 pound weight loss. I've struggled with weight my whole life and know how hard it can be. About 8 years ago I really got commited and lost 55 pounds. I was able to keep most of it off for several years but sadly, now I've gained probably 40 of it back. :( I just need to buckle down and get back on the treadmill. But maybe I'll wait until I try the biscuit receipe! :D
You are killing me! Now I have to figure out how to make them withotu going to buy the bisquick.
ReplyDeleteWhat on earth are you doing having a dinner club, what with your 'antisocial' self. ROFLMBO. (just joking ppl....it is "frosty joke")
Hugs...wish I had been there!
Stop it! I want to be in a supper club!!! When I was a kid my grandparents were in a supper club and they called it The Glutton Club! I thought it was wonderful! Last weekend we had friends over and I made Copycat PF Chang's lettuce wraps. They were fab-oo!
ReplyDeleteooooo these look SO good! LOL Must stay away!
ReplyDeleteOkay, now I'm hungry!

Hi Cindy,
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness, they look so yummy!. I think I will "copycat" your recipe and make them this weekend. Thank you for sharing the recipe.
Have a wonderful day,
Elizabeth
LOVE these biscuits. I have to admit I actually won a Red Lobster biscuit eating contest about 3 years ago. I ate 15 in 20 minutes. And that may not sound like much, but long about biscuit number 7 I thought I was going to be sick. Red Lobster is one of my favorite places to eat and I still LOVE these biscuits, but I don't abuse them anymore, I promise!
ReplyDeleteThese are so delicious....this is a dangerous recipe to have around. Especially because it looks so easy.
ReplyDeleteHolley
Thanks for sharing that. My family will sure love me this week. Wendy
ReplyDeleteHello,
ReplyDeleteyour blog is so lovely!!
Scream!......I love the biscuits from Red Lobster. I can't believe you are sharing the recipe! Thanks so much! I cannot wait to make them! Oh, this is my first visit to your blog, I love it, can I save it as one of my favorites?
ReplyDeleteLove, Ann
Thank you for sharing your recipe. I can't wait to try those biscuits. I have been to Red Lobster before, but a long time ago. I live in a mountain area... no chain restaurants here! I am semi new to your blog... I just want you to know that I enjoy seeing what you come up with, you are inspiring and your passion for what you enjoy is a great gift! (not materialistic)
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to try these, I was just thinking about them this week at the grocery store when I saw a pre-made mix for Bisquick Cheese-Garlic biscuits. I bought the mix to try it out, but I'm thinking it won't be the same...
ReplyDeletelooks like a great recipe
ReplyDeleteI am going to try it but hopefully not eat too many lol!
Sarah
My friend snail mailed this recipe to me at least 10 years ago...I am not saying that to say, "Oh I knew about this before you did" lol..I am saying this because...does anyone even snail mail anymore???
ReplyDeleteWow, I used to do it all the time, I was known for my funny letters....everyone enjoyed them, at least that's what they said ;)
Now, I email the same people and barely get a response back...but then again, these are not huge fans of emailing, most of them anyhow.
Maybe I should write a letter. Write. A. Letter. What a concept!
Thanks for the stroll down memory lane...and thanks for the reminder of this recipe, it's been awhile since I made them, need to make them again really soon, yum :)
Bella
Hi Cindy, thank you for sharing! I am a new baker and I'm trying to build my confidence... this will be great.
ReplyDeleteThanks much

I can die happy now. I will immediately post this to pass on the love. This word must be spread!! It's the gospel of biscuits! I don't need to order anything there but a drink, ok? I can just pig out on those little suckers,....snort snuffle
ReplyDeleteI'm going to have to make these for sure. Great for a Sunday dinner.
ReplyDeleteIt's a good thing I'm reading this late or I'd be up in the kitchen, ruining my diet. Congratulations on yours, by the way.
ReplyDeleteYour blog is absolutely beautiful. I love the lace post. Simply breathtaking.
YUMMO!!! I gotta try them!!! Sound Scrumptious!!
ReplyDeletemands
I have always wanted the recipe for these! Now I've got it!!! Thanks, I will definately be trying them out...probably not as a side to a lobster dish though!
ReplyDeleteHi Cindy
ReplyDeleteThose biscuits have caused me to fall off the wagon more times than I can count and telling them not to bring them to the table won't work for hubby so I sit and wimper ,usually cave even asking for another basket.
Thanks for the recipe altho that is like giving a bottle of wine to a wino.
Becky
Cindy,
ReplyDeleteI could sit down and make a meal out of these! They are yummy!!
Hi Cindy! Please feel free to stop by my house anytime with those biscuits!!! ~ xoxo ~ Joy
ReplyDeleteHi Cindy, I was just at Red Lobster last night and my MIL was commenting on how much my SIL loves those biscuits so I'll going to show this to them!
ReplyDeleteIf you have a second, please go to Artie's blog and vote for me in his contest...
http://niagaranovice.blogspot.com/
I don't expect to win but I'd like a respectable amount of votes! Thanks, Bridget
These sound yummy! I will try to sneak them into my Jenny Craig plan! :)
ReplyDeleteI set aside 20 minutes to visit my favorite blogs. I'm sure glad I stopped in here. Those biscuits look downright delicious. Thanks for sharing the recipe.

Hi Cindy
ReplyDeleteThese look sooo yummy. I haven't tried them at the Red Lobster but I am sure going to try them at Judi's! Thank you for sharing.
Your kitchen looks so pretty too. Isn't that nice to get such a gorgeous hand towel too. Perfect!
Hope you've had a lovely day.
Judi
Well John Brown It Cindy way to go and thank you for sharing that fabulous recipe! I love their biscuits and could eat the whole batch if I allowed myself.
ReplyDeleteI'm on a diet too but Cindy, I believe in balance and believe in splurging now and then. I splurged at the Texas Roadhouse last night on their yummy rolls and butter. I got up today ready to go right back at it. I’m down 15 so far. Hat's of to ya and glad you enjoyed yourself.
Hi Cindy,
ReplyDeleteI'm writing from other side of the globe in Malaysia. Your recipe really looks delicious. Am not sure whether we can get bisquik here. Any other alternative?
Thanks!! You really have a beautiful blog here.
Hi...if you do a search on the internet for Red Lobster Cheese Biscuits there are other recipes that don't require bisquick. You may also be able to find a recipe on how to make bisquick on the internet.
ReplyDeleteThank you Cindy!!
ReplyDeleteYum!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much! I will try it this weekend!!!
ReplyDeleteI can't eat bisquits. They give me rolls. ):
ReplyDeleteMike Frost
Oh Cindy! Thank you SO much for this recipe!
ReplyDeleteLast night I had to teach my cake decorating class, so I left dh in charge of making dinner. I gave him this recipe and hesitantly left him in charge. Well, they came out FANTASTIC! He gave one to our boys, who said they were the best biscuits they'd ever had. Then he took one over to our neighbor. While he was gone, the boys got in and snuck another. Dh had to put the rest up out of the boys' reach so there would be some left to have with dinner when I got home. LOL
Thank you Thank you! Excellent recipe!
K-
P.S. to Frosty: That was funny.
By the way, dh made ours using 1% milk. Just thought I'd mention that...they came out superbly even with the thinner-consistency of milk.
ReplyDeleteK-
Hello. Me again. ;-)
ReplyDeleteI mentioned your biscuits on my blog. Hope you don't mind. I don't see the Trackback option here on your blog, so I wasn't sure whether or not you'd know that I linked to this post. I thought I'd let you know myself that I did link to it.

Good recipe but you forgot one thing.
ReplyDeleteYou stole this recipe word-for-word from Todd Wilbur. He deserves the credit.

No, I didn't steal it from there...if you google this, this recipe is all over the internet. I got it from a site that has a bunch of copy cat recipes from different restaurants!
