I'm copying this idea for a post from Tales from an OC Cottage. It was such a good idea I couldn't help but show you my plate rims. Are there any other plate lovers out there?
I blame my mom for this obsession. I think she blames her mother...
Cindy, I sooo agree with you. I get mine from my mom. I don't know where she got it. But all of my aunt's are the same way. Love the blue and white stacked combo! ~~Liz~~
Cindy-such beautiful photography of those lovely plates. I have only recently discovered a love of plates, although I inherited a few after my mother passed away. They are scattered throughout my family pictures on my dining room wall and mixed in with my milk glass collection as well. I will have to post some pix on my site..hmmmm
Oh Cindy, you know that I'm going to have to play this game, too! LOL Your plates are BEAUTIFUL! I just LOVE the bluebird plates -- so lovely! xoxo, Mary Oh, and I think I have to blame my mother for my addiction, too!
Cindy, I love dishware too! Yours are so pretty, but my favorite is the one with the bluebird which is my favorite bird! I have 2 little blue eggs in their nest right now! What is the name of that pattern? You have such a lovely collection of dishes :). Blessings, Stacey
I have been wanting to start a plate collection and seeing your lovely plates is enough to make me wish I was already collecting. You always have such lovely things to share. Have a great weekend!
Beautiful photos. The plates are gorgeous! And you have a great eye for decorating. When I get better with my Blog I will post a few of my plates. Many Blessings, Virginia
I have a new-found appreciation for the beauty of plates. Seeing these photos really makes me want to start my own collection. One is just more beautiful than the next too. Lovely photos.
oooo. I love plates and these are so pretty! I have acollection of small vintage salad plates I pull out for appetizer instead of paper ones at parties. I have about 30 so there's enough all mixed and matched. Eco-friendly ;) Jen R
What a great idea! I love plates, too! You have some very pretty ones. I especially love the little blue bird design. Come by to see me tomorrow - I'll be joining others in a tea party! I'm useing some old crystal and the Blogland tea pot like yours and the other matching things I've found that go with it. It'll be fun. Have a wonderful evening and be a sweetie, Shelia ;)
The plate rims look so lovely, romantic and pretty. They remind me of the old victorian days. The beauty that people enjoyed having seems timeless. I love that you can find plates like that now, either in places like Marshalls or even thrift stores. It is hard to believe they do not get damaged when thrown from trash to treasures. Thanks for another great share. Wendy.
What a sweet idea, I think I will go rim crazy too and post some pics. I absolutely have an obsession with china, don't know who to blame though, cause I'm the only one in the family that seem to have it..lol Wish you a lovely weekend! Jannet
You know I once had the plate addiction, too. I found sets of dishes and partial sets everywhere and had TONS of them. But for years we moved so often and there was never enough room for all of them. I finally had to just choose one. I decided on Blue Willow. There are like a hundred different kinds of Blue Willow, so I can still "collect" without having too many dishes! I thought that was pretty cool!
Morning, Cindy. Would you mind if I used your idea of 'plate rims' for Pink Saturday tomorrow! I love how your plate look photographed like this. I hope it will be ok.
Oh, I'm having a tea party today so pop in sometimes. Be a sweetie, Shelia ;)
Oh,boy...what a fabulous thing to post about. If it is ok with you, I will do the same and ask others to join in. Wonderful RIMS you are showing here.... bj
Cindy I too enjoyed OC's plate rims. Yours are gorgeous as well. Such a neat idea. Just one more thing I'd like to do ...someday... when I've got all of my plates out!
I absolutely adore china! My husband pointed out once that we could have a banquet with all the plates I have on the wall. But I think they are such a lovely art form. I loved seeing your favorites!
I love all your plates, Cindy! I keep wanting to buy more, but don't know where on earth I'll put them! I know you have the hutch; but do you have somewhere else to put them? I mean besides your pretty ones on the wall! Brenda
I love china too. Ever since I visited my aunt's sister in England when I was first married and saw all her china, I have loved china. Yours is so pretty! Hugs, Rhondi
Cindy you are making me chuckle. Recently my husband asked me not to buy anymore dishes for a while. I LOVE DISHES. No matter what I have in hand, there is always something that I see that I love! Thank you for sharing your RIMS!!!!
What a wonderful idea! We should all share our plate rims! Think I'll picture mine soon ~ maybe next week! I have them hanging in most rooms of my house! Yours are lovely & your photography is excellent!

Cindy, your plates are beautiful. I, too, have an obsession with plates. By the way, is the white one new or vintage? If it is new, would you please tell me where you got it? I absolutely love it! I have started a collection of just white plates and platters and think it would look great with my others. Thanks so much for any information. Becky
lol.. I blame myself Cindy! My love for dishes came at a very young age. I appreciate so many, but have a pension for German/Bavarian, and all hand painted roses.
I discovered your blog from my good friend Cathy (Treasured Heirlooms) I really enjoyed my visit, your home is absolutely beautiful. The movie was exquisite!
Oh my--one of those blue plate thumbnails looks like it's Johnson Brothers Asiatic Pheasant, which is the pattern of my dishes! My favorite, though, is the one with tiny pink roses. So prosh.
I love old and new plates. I mean really love them. This post and your entire blog is a breath of fresh air. I just found you today and I amblessed. I'll be back!
