The mirror wall is finished! I plan on painting this wall some day and when I do I will rearrange these mirrors a bit but for now it's done! Most of the mirror were gold plastic and under $5.00. A few are metal and wood. I have no idea how many cans of spray paint went into this!!
Today should be interesting...it's work in the morning as usual and then in the afternoon the whole Marketing Department is going to do community service. We are going to be restoring a wetlands area. I was joking around yesterday with some coworkers and I said we are probably going to some place where they bus in Silicon Valley corporate companies and let them think they are doing something good by planting plants and then when we leave they rip them up so the next bus load can replant them tomorrow!! HAHA! Maybe I'm just being too sarcastic these days! I'm sure it's all good!
hi cindy im on line,,,and i am checking your bolg ...i used to do every day at the same time...i love your mirrors its a part of your house that i like ..take care

ReplyDeleteHi Cindy! Oh my were you all bad boys and girls and got community service?lol just kidding The first thing I thought of though was snakes?!!! Anyway hope you had fun. I love your mirror wall. So many pretty mirrors and you did a fantastic job arranging them. It's not easy with that many items to get balance and right placement. Very nice - Have a great day, Jeannette
ReplyDeleteI need some planting done also! Can I fly you to Florida? lol.
ReplyDeleteYour wall looks lovely!!!
Have fun planting
Jackie
Good job! The wall looks great! Are you going to paint the stair rails too?
ReplyDeleteHave you seen the Make It Yourself projects in the last issue of Romantic Country. They reminded me of you. Both projects look like something you would do. I am going to try the project where you make a vintage painting from a photocopy.
Love your blog,
Sharon
Beautiful. There's just something about mirrors. What a great collection!
ReplyDeleteNikki

Actually, the next bus load of people are told they need to remove all the trees to save and transplant them because some big office building is going to be built on the site. :>) And it goes on and on and on. Next year your group will be removing the trees.
ReplyDeleteAnd I love the mirrors. I have some that I bought at Michael's for $5, but they are still pretty.
It really looks wonderful Cindy. I have a feeling one day soon you will be on here telling us your home is going to be in a magazine!
ReplyDeleteI hope you got a nice afternoon yesterday. Sure a new experience LOL.
ReplyDeleteHave a great evening.
Love Elzie
Every time I see a mirror I think of you and your wall of mirrors. Large ones small ones. Near and far.
ReplyDeleteI don't think you have enough I see holes. HEHE.
Your wall and my wall are in competition. You have mirrors and I have pictures and other things. I still have room for more.
And Cindy, you may be right about the wetlands. Wear tall boots.
Ciao
Glenda

oh wow...i have a mirror wall in my living room comprised of thrift store mirrors, too...i will have to post a pic of it sometime on my blog. it took me about 4 months to find enough mirrors so it didn't look bare. it is such a neat effect...what color are you going to paint your wall? our living room is a sea glass blue...and against the white of the mirrors..reminds me of the beach.

ReplyDeleteI love that wall! You really should be a designer for a living. Seriously.
ReplyDeleteVery pretty! But I want to know what in the world you are going to do when that beautiful mirror pops up at the thrift store just waiting for you to buy it. Are you going to pass it up? LOL
ReplyDeleteI have a feeling that wall may never really be done. LOL
Hugs

Hey, I lived there also and what you say is probably correct, my romantic chick! We lived near the Hayward/San Mateo wetlands. They protected it like you would not believe! But your mirrored wall is stupendous, sweetpea. I'm repainting my bedroom furniture when hubs is in Orlando on business next month. Weeeeeeeeee, won't he be surprised to come home to a "white" bedroom?!?!
ReplyDeleteSmooches,
Connie

Cindy you crack me up. I promise whatever you plant will stay in the ground. I happen to be a volunteer coordinator and we work hard to put these kind of project together. What fun for you and the department and how good of your company to endorse the program. Thank you for ALL of your good works - at home, online and in the community!
