Awards and garden flowers

Jen R. ~ Sanctuary Arts at Home gave me the award above.  What a honor!  If you want to see some amazing furniture makeovers just visit her blog.  I need to pass this award on to one other blogger and as you know, I don't usually forward these type of things on because I think there are so many awards being passed around blogland and they sometimes take over.  I appreciate the thoughts behind awards but I would rather see content on someones blog rather than seeing award after award on almost every blog I visit.  With that being said, I think this award is different so I really want to pass this one along.  I'm supposed to give it to one person but I'm passing it on to two amazing women who really  know how to makeover furniture better than anyone!

1. Savvy City Farmer (She has another blog with her furniture makeovers Stuff in the Burbs)
2. Notes from a Cottage Industry

The Award below came from Amy ~ Winterberry Creek
Thank you for thinking of me Amy!!!!  I'm not going to pass this on because I've seen it on so many blogs lately and it would take me forever to find someone that hasn't received it.

Here are some photos I took in my garden yesterday.  It was nice to have time just to play with my camera.  I haven't started any of the projects I have planned for this week. Maybe I just need to slow down a little.  After all, isn't that what vacation is all about?

My lilies just started blooming.
This delphinium is getting ready to bloom.
Soon it will look like this...

  2. I saw someone else got the painted furniture award I thought to myself "Gee, Cindy should be getting this one." Glad it didn't take long to make it to you. You deserve it.

    Your garden is looking great.

Yes, take some time to relax and enjoy your place. Go to lunch or a movie or better yet go pamper yourself. You deserve it.

    Hugs,

  3. I am baffled and honored all at the same time....I have not updated
    http://stuffintheburbs.blogspot.com
for so long, because I've been too busy redesigning furniture....but oh thank you so much...do you remember the lady that commented on the post "I'll Have what She's Having?"
.....she actually contracted me to paint two pieces for her and ship them to New Orleans...sight unseen she ordered my services from just seeing the picture...I am still speechless over that one...

AGAIN...you are a dear, and I am so blessed in blogland with women like yourself.

    stay in touch
    hugs, too

  4. Congratulations on your awards, Cindy.
    Your flower photos are lovely.
It seems like you are a very busy lady who could use some vacation time to smell the roses, or hydrangeas or delphiniums.
    Enjoy your week.

  7. Hi Cindy,
Your photos are beautiful. You can certainly tell the difference from when you first started blogging. I love your blog and certainly think that you deserve the awards. But I have to agree about the content vs the award syndrome....
That being said I check your blog everyday cuz you almost always have something pretty to share.
Enjoy the rest of your vacation.

  12. Cindy,

I never knew Savvy had another site. I guess I am not paying attention. I'll remember it now.
Playing with your new camera I see. It takes such clear pictures.
I know what you mean about the awards. I have only two. I think that's enough.

    Ciao

  19. Hi Cindy! Congrat's on your awards!!! I've had a few sweet girls send a couple to me recently too and like you, I find it hard to pass along...everyone seems to have one already by the time they make it to me, so it's hard to pass it back out there in blogland. Loved the photos of your garden. Oh, I went for my first experience for jury duty yesterday and thought of you while I was there since you said you enjoyed jury duty. I did not get selected because I had a family relative that worked for the company that was being sued. Maybe next time. Have a great week and I hope you enjoy your vacation time!! ~ xoxo ~ Joy
