Prom Night

Lauren is just a freshman but got asked to the Junior Prom. The big night was this past Saturday. A big group of kids met at her date's home before they left which is where I took these photos. I took a lot of photos and didn't have one that turned out very well! His mom was taking pictures and you can see that Lauren was looking at her and he was looking at me! I like the candid one below...
Lauren is almost 5'9" and she was wearing 4" heels! This is the first time she's really ever worn high heels and I was so worried she was going to fall, but luckily she didn't! She called me at 9:30 to tell me she was having so much fun...she'll never know how much that phone call meant to me!

  12. Lauren looks lovely...so at 5'9"with 4" heels...that would make her 6'1" (love it!!) or...for the mathmatically challenged such as me...5'13"....her date must have been 6'forever"....what a darlin couple!! My daughter in law is 5'9 or 5'9 1/2" AND so is my son...when she wears heels she is a bit taller than he is...and he LOVES it..doesn't bother him at all...I think being tall is a blessing!! I love the candid photo...it shows they are having a blast!

What a doll of a girl for her to call you in the middle of having so much fun...she really LOVES her mom to think to call and share that special moment with you...I'm sure I would have just melted...how cool is she!

    Blessings...
    Teresa

  26. You're daughter looks so pretty and so happy....especially in the candid photo!! I almost always like the candid photos better, too, and I agree with you that the candid of your daughter and her date is an awesome photo!! You can just see the joy in both of their faces.

  49. Good Evening Cindy!
Your daughter is just lovely...I think she looks just like her mama! I sure can identify with your comment about your daughter calling home just to tell you she was having a great time...isn't that just the sweetest!!! It reminds me of when my daughter got married...she and her newly wed husband left on their honeymoon and about 10pm that evening she called home to ask if it was allright if she stayed out a little later that night!!! After rolling on the floor laughing, I thought, isn't that just the sweetest...she was still thinking about me even on her honeymoon!!! Helps to make "cutting those apron strings" just a bit easier!!! Thank God for our daughters!!! Warmest wishes...Chari
