So what do you think about him? You know...Mr Infomercial, Billy Mays! I like him because any man that's into cleaning is a man for me! Besides, he has so much enthusiasm! I was in Bed, Bath and Beyond (another store I love) and saw this Grout Aid hanging there with Billy's smiling face and threw it in the cart. I don't want my home showing up on national TV with dirty grout! So below is the "before picture" with the dirty grout. I tried everything to get this white, including bleach, nothing worked...

until this little marker! It's like white-out for your grout. It was actually fun to do...instant gratification! This was my downstairs powder room, I ran upstairs and did the other bathroom too.

My tile looks like new now! I love it. (
btw, this was NOT a paid advertisement) Thanks Billy...You Rock!
WOW! Could I use that! Thx for the info (and the testimonial!:)

Oooh, exciting! I'm going to remember that. Have you tried his other products? I've always wondered if they work as well as they claim to!
ReplyDelete~Angela :-)
Yeah!!! I've had the same problem with grout & have been cleaning/scrubbing with a little grout scrubber. (ouch my elbow hurts!!!!) I'm going shopping to get one of these. Do they have it for colored grout?
ReplyDeleteI've never tried any of his other products and I'm not sure if it comes in other colors. I only saw the white.
ReplyDeleteAmazing! That looks like brand new.
ReplyDeleteWe use a steamer on ours and it cleans right up. Be sure to seal it now that you have cleaned it so it cuts down on the inbetween time you will have b4 having to do it again.
Thanks!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you wrote that. I never believe those things are as good as they say. And they usually aren't. I'll have to pick some of this up.
Another great product that I got off an infomercial years ago is a paint stick. The handle of the paint roller actually holds the paint and you can paint for awhile without constantly running to a paint tray to run the roller across it. It works great.
Cindy, that looks great - and I love your tile color, too! Ours is all the original tile from the early 80's when I was into 'earthtones,' so it's all drab beige... yuck!
ReplyDeleteAnd your daughter's bureau turned out gorgeous!!... Donna
I wish I had grout to use it on. I like things like that. Darn this formica. I guess I'll just have to live through you and have satisfaction in that way.
ReplyDeleteOur weather is getting beautiful, hope your is as well.

Looking forward to your big HGTV debut!!!! Everything looks amazing as always!!!
ReplyDeleteI was just scrubbing the shower yesterday, trying to clean up the grout and the hard water deposits off the tile. The Mr. Clean Magic Sponges help a little but the results are not this good! Thank you very much for this tip. I'll be making a trip to BB&B for this product!
ReplyDeleteRegarding Billy Mays: His voice really gets on my nerves but I sure do love the beard! lol.
Wow, I have to try this stuff. All of our tile is old, old, old and I want it to look new. I don't think the shabby chic look is for tile. Mine is more shabby than chic.
ReplyDeleteSusan
OMGoodness!!! Cindy, it looks great!!! You should be making money for this ad girl!! xxoo, Dawn
ReplyDeleteLove the product, but I don't like his voice. It's kind of annoying.
ReplyDeleteI just mute him when he is on.
Your grout looks great!!!
Rosemary
wow, cool to know!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad that it worked for you, it is a nice improvement. Since it works so well, I'll be looking for it too.
ReplyDeleteHowever, I find that man so annoying that I can't watch his commercials. He YELLS, just like the car sales announcers on the radio. Aaaakkk!!
It is amazing! What a difference it made in the grout, and it looked very easy. Nice job! Amy
ReplyDeleteHey, I need some of THAT...:) It works, it really works.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing...
Dianne
Hi Cindy! That is so awesome - looks brand new! Now if only we had our tile down in our bathroom so I could use cool products like that!
ReplyDeleteLove your blog. Great job on the dresser! White is the best; my favorite color. I recently discovered your blog and keep visiting.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fabulous job it does. Wonder how long it lasts. You will have to let us know how long it stays looking so good.
ReplyDeleteAlison
Hi Cindy,
ReplyDeleteHey that stuff really works, your tile is so sparkling.
Hugs,

It sounds as if there is a new man in your life. And, I agree that there's not much better than a man that cleans.

ReplyDeleteThanks - that's the best kind of infomercial - from a true user! Another product that is great from those TV ads is the green bags for keeping produce fresh - they really work!! PAM
ReplyDeleteThe grout looks brand new! I love when a product actually delivers what it promises.
ReplyDeleteI agree... you are so ready for hgtv... you go girl ! The grout looks great.

ReplyDeleteWow - that is amazing!
ReplyDeleteGlad to know it works!
ReplyDeleteOne of the local TV stations has a weekly segement called 'Does it work?'Has kept me from buying more than a few things!
How cool, I wonder if it works on other colors of grout, or just white?
ReplyDeleteThis is one product I NEED!! I have scrubbed, bleached and picked at the grout in our shower recess...thanks Cindy I'll give this a try. Didn't you regrout your kitchen tiles? This sounds loads easier than regrouting
ReplyDeleteLooks great!
ReplyDeleteBarbara
Darn, I wish I knew about that little secret when I was in my last house! Oh well, I'm making a mental note :) How nice when it actually does what it's advertised to do.
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Dena

ReplyDeleteNow you've got me worked up with this new Billy Mays doo dad thinga majig I really need it. Putting this on my list for this weekend. Have to have!
Nothing has worked for me before... Thank you.
~Tracie
This is good to know. I have to admit that his voice irritates me. I usually mute him. My grout needs some help, so I will give this a try.
ReplyDeleteAlso, I picked up the Pedegg thing from BBB and it works like a charm. My feet are still thanking me.
Blessings, KJ
Wow, that stuff really does work! So funny to see Billy on your site. My son went to school with his son and everyone said what a nice guy he was. Looks like he's honest too.
