Yesterday I realized that today will be my 400th post so I decided to have a giveaway to celebrate. I went to Marshalls and bought some things that I thought you may like. Actually I bought things I liked and hoped you may like them too. Then I saw that Kim from The Twice Remembered Cottage ~ One Woman's Cottage Life is having the Second Annual Cottage Charm Giveaway and I decided to join in! Above are the items you can win just by leaving a comment. There are 5 items: a small white pitcher, a blue and white plate, rose petal soap, a soy candle, a starfish from my shell collection. Everyone can enter but if you live outside the U.S. I will not be able to send this due to shipping costs but I will send you a decorating magazine (perhaps there is one that you want and can't get in your country?) I will then draw a second name for the items above. The drawing will be on Saturday, May 31st. You have until then to leave a comment and if you don't have a blog, please make sure you include your email address. Even if you've never left a comment before this, you can still enter!

ReplyDeleteWe have exchange a few emails about your painting expertises, let me tell you that you have helped me so much without even knowing me, I was going to a very difficult time in my life and let myself and my house go until I saw your site and your inspiring ideas and I began to make little changes here and there even took more interest in my meal preparation. Now I have little things around my home that make me smile every time I see them and just make a difference in my day. I have finally found my creative side and I'm not letting it go!!!!

I love how you take something and see something different in it. Love how you paint everything white. It's so funny -- I'm just the opposite. I see something, bring it home and paint it black. Almost all of my accent pieces are black. My style is old world and it just makes everything tie in so well together. I love your home because it is the opposite of mine. Cindy , Seems like a million yeas since I've written last but read your every post! Congrats about the show and your anniversary!! You were the very first blog I had ever read and have had mine over a year thanks to all your help setting it up! I look forward to summer to begin painting a 2 chest of drawers, vintage cedar chest and old chair with your painting info. One question, do i have to use the wax that etends to alter the white some? ReplyDeleteI am new to blogging but I am recently dealing with the empty nest syndrome. But I have adjusted to it fairly well. I now have more time to do projects and I actually started sewing some again. I used to do french handsewing, smocking and quilting. I got tired of it and now I think I may start it again! I love the Shabby Chic look and I have been trying a few projects refinishing some furniture. I love having hobbies! Keep all the good ideas coming, I look forward to seeing what is new for the day!
