Busy, Busy, Busy!

I probably won't be posting anything for the rest of the week.  I have so much to do and I'm sick on top of it.  Friday at work I started feeling really bad but I was working on the ongoing big project and couldn't leave until later in the afternoon.  I came home and had a fever and chills for two days.  Now I have a bad cold! Bad timing!  Cold medicine is really helping though.  I'm so busy at work I can't take any time off so I'm spending my evenings getting my apartment ready for Friday.

I got a email yesterday from another producer of a new show that was interested in using my home.  He had come across my blog and was looking for romantic style decorating.  I don't think it was for HGTV because he didn't mention that.  It ended up not working out because he needed someone in the LA area and I'm in Northern California in the San Francisco Bay Area.  It just goes to show, you never know who's reading your blog!

  2. Awwww Cindy...so sorry you are not feeling well. Your immune system is most likely really low right now with the amount of stress you are probably dealing with at work and making sure your home is beyond perfect for the HGTV crew. Please try to baby yourself some and do consider enlisting Lauren's help with a few of the things you want to get done at home.

Looking forward to hearing about the HGTV experience and hope you will post again asap.

  3. Cindy, I'm so sorry to hear that you've been sick! Too bad those sick germs couldn't have waited until AFTER Friday, huh? Hopefully by then you'll be back to your happy, healthy self.

What is your job? What kind of big project are you working on? Whatever it is, I wish you lots of luck with it so you can relax and enjoy Friday.

Even though you have a ton of stuff to do, I'm guessing, try and take a little time for yourself to de-stress. Take a nice hot bubble bath, and try to go to bed a little bit earlier.

I can't wait to hear all about your adventure with HGTV on Friday!!! Have fun with it!!!

  11. I hope you get to feeling better. I'm sure the stress of work and getting ready for HGTV is playing havoc with your immune system. Try to give yourself a break to sit and relax. It's great that you are getting all this interest in your home decorating. I agree with Jen R., you SHOULD write a book. I know I'd buy one! Good luck on Friday!

  19. STRESS, isn't a wonderful thing. We run ourselves thin and then yep. That little bug waiting for it's next victim finds us, and before we know it, it makes and appearance. I hate colds. I hadn't one for over a year and one found me a few weeks ago. But I got over it.
I know you will be great.
It is amazing to me just how many people do look at our blogs. And how many first timers come to visit in a day and how far away are.
    Good Luck

  21. Oh Gosh Cindy, please feel better soon. Drink plenty of water and rest when you can. I'm so sorry you got sick just BEFORE HGTV comes out. Why do things always seem to work out that way?

I think that producer from LA should make the trip to northern CA to use your house. It would be worth the trip for him.

    Blessings,

    Sher
